It looks good. Right now I'm using 8000k but I have a set of 6000k bulbs too so I think I'm gonna try those out.

Hey Im also looking into purchasing these and then adding HIDs but this may be a stupid question but Im kinda confused on how you actually get the HIDs into the actual light if the halogen is there already? Thanks for your help

My HID is on the way

Hi ERK,

I have just bought a 2011 Black SS but GM does not offer RS package in Brazil.. So I have also ordered the eagle eyes and H9 HID kit you recommended.. I hope I can get a nice store to have it done for me (maybe with me!!!)

Well I will let you guys know how it goes.. The car arrives November 15th and I will be waiting for the Kit and Headlamps...

Installed My Eagle Eyes and HID Kit

erk5000,

Thanks for the Eagle Eye inspiration! I set mine up yesterday using the following products and it came out awesome and beyond my expectations. The turn signal bulb that came inside the right headlight had a loose pin in it so I put my OEM bulb in as a replacement. The blinker would turn on and hazards would work, but daytime running amber glow would not come on that side because of one of the pins. Wasn't that big of a deal

There is a rubber seal that is cover the bulb behind the headlight. You simply pull it off and it reveals the bulb. From there you can swap out the halogen bulb with a HID bulb.

I installed my Eagle Eye headlights and love them. However my right Halo now is not coming on. These headlights don't have more than 3 hours of driving on them. The right one was working fine then it would flicker a bit and turn on - now nothing. The left one comes on dim then brightens. Any suggestions or ideas ???

Thanks !!!!

Sounds like your turning your car on with the halos on. Not good. Make sure your drl is off if you wired them to your headlamps. Or you got a bad set of lights if you wired them to your parking lamps. Which wire did you run the halos to? Also check your grounds, maybe something is loose.

When I first got everything installed on my 1LT Non-RS, I found the following issues:

The right halo and the amber parking light would not come on, but the left one worked fine, and blinkers worked on both sides. After probing for a few minutes I found out that the amber parking bulb that came with the Eagle Eyes had a short connector in the three pin connector. I swapped it out with my original factory bulb and everything worked after that.

The left halo did not come online during daylight hours and the relay from my HID wiring harness was making a loud noise and was vibrating until I turned off the DRLs (Moved knob to the left to turn off auto lights). So during the day if you have not physically cut off the DRL auto lights, you must turn off the auto lights system (Move position of headlight connector to the left and the HUD should say auto lights off). During night the autolights work just fine.

Has anyone else had the second problem with their relay buzzing when the DRLs come on (By accident if you forget to turn auto off during the day)? If so, any help?

Also, one other thing to note about my halos. When I unlock the car or lock it and get the lights flash and horn honk, only the left halo blinks and the right one does not.

Thanks,

StenoPlasma

I turned off the alarm light notification settings to avoid the blinking issues with the halos. Remember that they're CCFL, not LEDs. It couldnt be good to have them blink. The alarm blinks the running lamps through the running light wire, not the blinker wire I suppose. I also gutted my switch to disable the drl. Right now everything seems to be working fine.
