The alignment springs were the only part that was extra, as we all know. I just used a 5/16th hex drive to take out the two screws holding the springs in place. The instructions said they weren't needed for the hurst shifter, so I left them out.

Works perfect and I love it!

I'll get a picture of the finished install this weekend. And i'm still looking for a knob. I'll just get a custom one probably. I tried calling Hurst customer service and they are a pain to get a hold of...

So far so good! I can feel each shift more. And it's a bit loud when shifting, which I like. But they did send some dyno-mat stuff to wrap around the parts that make the noise, which I didn't install. Lol. Shifting smooth is no problem. I have yet to shift hard with it. I either have to find a deserted road, or go to the track when they open to the public again.

I installed it myself! Super easy! Instructions were very detailed. They even had notes in them about the v6 stuff, like the alignment springs! Took me about an hour.

do they offer the shorter bar length? like the new factory installed hurst? to me that would look a lot better than that big metal piece sticking out there....

yes, it also comes with a shorter bar so you can use the stock shift knob to make it look stock. It's all personal preference. i like the metal bar look.
