My dealer still cannot change my order
I tried to change my order yesterday to get the polished wheels on the SS/RS package and the option still got rejected.
So don't give up yet. I'd guess that not all dealers have done their software updates yet(?). I'll try again in a couple weeks. Does anyone know when the last date is to make changes in what we want to order?

Almost had a 2SS/RS, IOM, orange accent interior, 6 speed manual, sunroof & polished wheels
ordered 01/19/07 3000 - 2/27/09 3400 - 3/27/09 3800 - 4/17/09 (built and lost in the vortex) ship date ??????? (I gave up and got a GT500) 5/11/09 - order cancelled 5/27/09 - vehicle arrived at dealership for whoever bought it after me |

i want the polished wheels on my ss/rs too but then i realized the car wont be a true RS/SS without the midnight silver wheels
i really dont know what to do.... |

At least ya'll are able to place an order! My dealer said they are not accepting any type of "preliminary" orders! They said they are only being allocated 2 Camaro's from the initial production (small town dealer), and they are going to hold some kind of home made "draw names from a hat" to see who gets to order the two Camaro's to their specifications. What a bunch of B.S.! You would think any customer walking in wanting to place an order would be welcome business!!! Guess I'll have to go to a "participating" dealership to order mine!

It actually will be a true RS/SS. . . The option is from the factory thus it can not be considered not a true RS/SS.

Hey Detroit, I am having the same problems and my Dealer is not able to change my order to the polished mags also!! I tried a second time today.....crap!!

Oh and just a general statement about changing the order to include the polished wheels, there is another post that said GM is going to try to make the change (as well as the blue) globally tomorrow while all the dealers are closed. I am sure if you watch the threads on Friday and next week, people will have some indications whether it worked or not.

I was able to add polished wheels to my order today! What my dealer had to do was actually call someplace on the mainland and placed the order over the phone.

Fbodfather had said originally that the system would be changed after thanksgiving, but some buyers started posting that they made their changes this week so I figured all the dealers systems had been updated.
As usual....fbodfather had the correct information

I am able to change my customers orders on there Camaro's your dealer didnt dig deep enough. A phone call to the DBC would have handled it. He should be able to do it through order workbench Friday 11/28/08. It really is embarrassing how many "dealers" are not up to snuff on how to run there core business which is selling vehicles to customers. I guess its no wonder so many are going tits up during this economic downturn. I think there are only 3 of us that work in dealerships in this site who have spoken up, I would have thought there would have been 100 or more in here trying to better understand there customers needs on such an important vehicle to there portfolio. Oh well.
