Picked up my IOM 2SS/RS today!!!

OK! Got your attention?

Earlier this year I picked up one of those HUGE Camaro Concept 1/10 scale RC cars...they are 21" long by the way, and we clocked it up to 22mph, which is pretty cool for an RC car...anyway, the only choices I had were silver and red at Walmart...I bought the silver...here is what it looked like before:
http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Remote-Contr...3286.m20.l1116

And so, I got to thinking...how awesome would it be to have it sanded down, taken apart, and have it painted/striped the way I ordered mine....so, I took it to my body guy, and let him have at it...

The color is the GM IOM, we looked thru the books, and it's the only IOM, and looks AMAZING. It does look red in no direct light...but in the light this color is absolutely amazing and is ORANGE....the white strips are Olympic white w/ a tad of pearl...

I put some Z2 on this car as soon as I got it home, and man, I can NOT take my eyes off of it.

Brian had a cool idea, and took the pics downstairs for me...next to our checkered border, and they turned out oh so HOT!

Enjoy and post up any thoughts I am having the license plate engraved and made later this week

So, check out the pics:

Check each pic, b/c they get BETTER....it's an amazing color combo, and I HAD to share this....this is my 'fix' until the end of Nov.

HOOORAH for IOM!

That looks amazing! I've narrowed my choices to either IOM or ABM, I like both colors alot.

Consider it an early Thanksgiving appetizer

IOM looks VERY amazing in the sun, and isn't credited well in most pics....my camera is a Canon PowerShot S2 btw.

I am very happy I chose the IOM, no regrets, now that I have seen it on 'the' car

This is a bad little RC though, the lights are on when you drive it, and the signals automatically come on when turning....and the rear lights work as well!
No engine sounds or anything though...

If you want to see your car before you get it, lol This is a way to do it!

I just can't keep my eyes off it

At least now we know what IOM really looks like..It looks red most of the time and needs sunlight to look orange in areas. I would still prefer metallic hugger orange like on the Challenger.. Very nice job on your model, it is one badd@ss looking car...

Great job! I had the same idea, but stopped after simply adding a couple of black stripes using electrical tape.

Yours turned out GREAT. Now...like the others said about cyber gray...

I have had SEVERAL professional R/C cars and trucks Nitro and electric. One of my cars is a Traxxas Nitro 4 Tech. It does a true 70 mph and on a pro track does 0-60 in 3.1 seconds. Mine does about 5 seconds flat to 60 on the street in front of my house. I will find a 2010 Camaro SS body and put pics up next spring. GO R/C cars. Jeff D.
