Grew up in Norwood. Dad worked the plant till it closed. I took that tour many times. What great memories of all those camaros being loaded onto trucks and shipped out to every part of the earth.

God I wish your dad and his co-workers kept some of the documentation which showed which VIN's got which options. Us 1st and 2nd gen guys would be VERY happy!

Cool.

So that is what zedder means? the letter Zed instead of the letter Zee?

If you are a zedder you say Zed and therefore are Canadian?

Or am I off my rocker?

You have the right idea. Since Canadians pronounce a Z as 'zed', zedder is a nickname for a Z28.

No way...so did my dad. Did yours work assembly? And where'd he go when they shut down? My dad went up I-75 to Delphi.

oh, and I think y'all should invest in a camera... I'm very sure that alot of us are going to want you to take group pics of everyone that's building these cars... better yet, we'll send you a Polaroid camera and a ton of film

There would be hundred of signatures on that build sheet. I will just sign it then proceed to hide it in the car somewhere. Under the seat? in the backrest? under the carpet? in the dash? Who knows?!

Also, pictures, refer to my webcam on the line post

They trademarked the ********!!!!

That's great! Historically that could be a match since the ******** and the ******** were the same *******.

Of course I'd wait till they're done penning an agreement with the Gov. before I did a happy dance.

Latest news I hear they're working toward a leaner GM, dropping/selling Saturn, Hummer, Buick, or Pontiac, so I'm not holding my breath.

I totally forgot about that thread.

In my defense I was a bit new to the site then.

in every car I've ever owned, I've found the buildsheet... whether it was in the back of the seat of the '67 'vert, under the center console of the '88 V6 or in the trunk of the '02 Z28, I've found it... so hide away, amigo, and I'll let you know when I find it... lol

and while you're at it, make sure and get a group photo of you and some of your coworkers to put in there... I'm making a scrap book here

If they can do this for the Corvette why can't they do it for the Camaro?

I would pay big money to have something like this.

Quote:
Document the Build Process of Your New Corvette

We have opened a new program that is an exciting opportunity for new Corvette owners who want to document their Corvette's "build process" at the GM Bowling Green Corvette Assembly Plant! Whether you are taking delivery at your Chevrolet dealership or participating in the Museum Delivery or Buyer’s Tour programs, we invite you to preserve your Corvette’s history with a “Corvette owner's photo album”.

This 20-page photo album captures the complete build of your new Corvette and includes a letter of authenticity and congratulations letter from the Corvette Assembly Plant Manager and Executive Director of the Museum. The photo album is created with the highest quality photo paper and preserved in a padded leather album. It will be a great addition to your new Corvette purchase and is available exclusively through the NCM. If you are planning to order a new Corvette, we invite you to find out more about the Corvette owners photo album by visiting our website or by calling us at: (800) 205-4248.
