Talking Continued Engine Work

The work on the engine is progressing. Pulley system in place with belts.

The A/C pump has been moved to the passenger side. James made a new bracket to allow it to go there.

Brakes are bled.

My old steering column is in place. I plan on replacing it once I figure out which one to get. I'm thinking of a rebuilt OEM.

We did run into an issue with the steering. The Steeriods U-Joint assy doesn't match up with the rag joint. We quickly figured out we were missing a bracket that replaces the rag joint. Unfortunately, it's missing. I had to reorder a new one.

Cool Lots of Progress

The inner fender wells are in place. It's starting to look like a car again.

James is working on the wiring, placement of the computer, radiator, rear bumper, etc.

My old steering column is back in, but I plan on replacing it with a remanufactured tilt column and a new steering wheel. It's on order.

Our goal is to get it running in a couple of days. Then, off to get exhaust put in.

Thumbs up Body Panels getting Installed!

The sheet metal is going on now!

Interior work starts next week:
  • Bryan at Innovative is coming over to start the wiring for the audio.
  • Jay at Bear Nut is coming over to measure for the small bucket seats and plan what needs to be done to the door panels.
  • I'm hoping to work tomorrow on wrapping up the A/C, instrument carrier, and the dash.

I put in the instrument carrier today. I'll snap some pictures on Monday. The gauges look awesome in the car.

We should be able to get it running this week. Maybe today.

Next will be interior work. Finish off the air conditioning. Electrical. Exhaust work. Paint stripe and exterior trim.

I'm hoping to get it into the Reliable Chevy show on the 31st of July. It'll be tight.
