ok i just got the opportunity to go from a vendor!
the cars, aftermarket goodies, celebrities, GIRLS!
Ok who wants to take me under their wing! this is my first time ever attending, what a dream come true.
Questions:
  1. Nov. 2nd - 5th, so is a ticket good for all the days?
  2. hotels wise, what is close?
  3. renting a car is defiantly a must, so what is the age of renting bc ill be 24 when the event is underway.
would be awesome follow around with someone or a group since ive never been.
Im just trying to sort everything out before i submit my registration
(double post from dinner attendence thread to spread the word)

if you want decent and a good price, harrhas or ballys is in the middle of the strip , and you dont need a car unless you are going to venture off the strip, i think its a waste cause you are in the sema show from 9-5 for the 4 days and if its your first show if will take you the entire time to see it, ive been there 3 yrs prior and it is massive so much to see and do. if you stay on the strip you have the monorail which will take you end to end

I rarely rent a car when in Vegas...everything is close, cabs wind up being cheaper and easier, and I'm usually in a state where if I drove I'd wind up with a DUI...

no rental car needed...it's more of a hassle than it's worth IMO.

In agreement, if going to and from the event and hotels, you dont need a rental period......

I normally stay at the Bellagio or Wynn

+1000000

Don't need a rental here in Vegas. But the age to rent is 25.

I always rent a car I head to Vegas 2-3 times a year on average the cost of a cab will run you $15-20 a pop w/ tip. I am renting a 300C from Dollar for $100 for the 3 1/2 days I will be in town I use the free parking garages or the free Valet parking (just tip them). The car comes in handy esp if you plan to do stuff off the strip (I am heading to the LVMS on Friday to drive some exotic cars and meet with Shelby so I will need a car).

Hotels- Depends on what your budget is I prefer the Wynn or Encore I have been staying since it opened in 2005 IMHO best property on the strip we are always taken care of Places close by are Wynn, Encore,

If you are not renting a car and you take a cab plan on $20 each trip, you can opt for the LV monorail with stations at the Sahara Hotel & Casino, LV Hilton, Harrah's , Flamingo Holton/Palace Station, Paris, and MGM ($5 per ride, $12 day Pass, or $28 for 3 day pass).

Hotels-You can go on the higher end for Encore, Wynn, Venetian, Bellagio, Palazzo, ect.. or the lower end Sahara, Circus Circus, Stratosphere, Riviera, ect...

Sean

Most, if not all hotels on the strip have shuttles as well. The only reason i can see to rent a car is if you do anything off the strip. Even then, i don't think you'll be saving much. Plus you can't drink because then you have to drive, or have a DD. it cost $25 to go from the airport to my house on the outskirts of town. Which is about 15-20minutes out. Just walk, taking in the sites, grab a drink from fat tuesday, and you're good! lol
