I love the front view of the new Camaro........

The front of my new Camaro is going to look so good.....I hate to think the State of Texas will make me put a license plate on it to mess up the looks.

Do most States require front plates?

VA does. But I have someone who will make nice removable brackets for us all as soon as I can get some more concrete measurements of the front.

Not in Florida. No front plates, no safety inspections, no emissions inspections.

We are unplated, un-inspected mofo's.

Corvette Forum owners talk about this all the time.

Most leave the front plates off, some post about the tickets they got.

Mr. TAG is a Texan Police Officer, he'll be able to tell you the inside story.

We have mandatory plates in Cali, but in all the years I've been driving I've never ever had a car with one... never got a ticket either (knocks on wood w/ crossed fingers).

Ditto! But the Ohio State Highway Patrol never enforced my "lack of" plate on my 1994 Camaro...

Pete, I would like to have some sort of group buy on a license plate holder, that doesn't require drilling a hole in the bumper.

See Jay Leno's answer for the Vette

Look under Corvette accessories at a removable license plate holder. I cannot get the right link to work.

You need them here in Nevada but I plan on leaving mine off until something makes me put it on. I would hate to have to mess up that beautiful front end. Im already getting special Las Vegas Centennial license plates because they will match my car way better than the normal light blue plates we get...

I don't have the front plates on my Malibu. A large percentage of people in my city don't have their front plates on either.

I seriously don't think it matters anymore.

Washington says its a law but my Corvette customers mainly go without it and I havent heard about anyone getting more than a warning. I will not be putting one on mine.

I can't answer for Mr. Tag but it's typically not enforced by most LEOs, at least not in Texas. Depends on the officer mostly, but unless they're having a bad day I wouldn't think it'd be a problem.

If you look on pg. 21 of this link (select print model option and then hit the "print" button), RPO VK3 is a front license plate bracket that says it is "included" and only available on cars shipping to states with a front license plate requirement. So, as far as I can understand this, if your state legally requires a front license plate, it should come from the factory with the bracket already installed. Am I wrong???

Of course, the only surefire way not to get one is put the front plate on. I was just saying that if he doesn't want to put on the plate, it'll probably depend on individual officers if he gets stopped for it or not.
