BBK HEADERS?

Are these worth buying? 1-3/4" Ceramic. $400 on ebay.

I have had these on my Mustang for four years-no problems. NOTE: Do NOT use the paper gaskets that come with these headers! Save your self a lot of time and scraping and get a set of Mr. Gasket Ultra-Seal header gaskets!

You can get longtubes for just another 200.00... Or less. Check pacesetters, Doug thorleys, you will get way more power from LT headers

I missed them being "tuned length" headers. I put their LT's on. I'd still go with the BBK's over other company's shortys.

I have the BBK T-304 stainless steel shorties, been on my car most of this year. Aside from some fitment issues at first which BBK resolved ( with my help and suggestions ) I am satisfied with them. Contrary to those with opinions and not real experience these headers made a seat of the pants improvement from 3.5K rpm and up. No dyno runs on my car and not interested in getting it dyno'ed. I didn't do a fuse pull when I installed the headers, instead drove the car as I normally do and within 50 or so miles I and a buddy who drove my car could feel the difference in the mid to upper rpm range. Surely not as good as LT's but the goal was to retain the stock tune. I installed each of the 3 power enhancing mods on my car one at a time and gave plenty of time in real world driving ( at least a month ) to assess whether there were any gains. The GMPP axle back did nothing but improve sound, shed some weight and improve the looks of the back of the car which was all I really was after from them. The Cold Air Inductions CAI and BBK headers improved performance, especially in the mid to upper rpm ranges. My car has the factory tune, stock cats/midpipes, CAI induction and GM "touring" axle backs. I intend to try high flow cats ( JBA ) shortly but if they make the exhaust to loud or throw a code the HF cats/midpipes will come off. The BBK headers and Cold Air Inductions CAI will stay. I paid $459 for the BBK SS headers shipped to my door.
