A Pillar cover popping off

anyone still having this problem and what was replaced to fix it? My dealer is ordering a cover to fix it but what i read from last year was that a clip was being replaced to fix the problem. Did they change the design or something? or do clips come with the cover now?

One of mine is broke, waiting on the dealer to install the newly ordered one. Sucks because it hanging down looks like crap!

Ye I took mine to the dealer yesterday and told him what the problem was and they popped it back on and said it was fixed, I told them I had did the same thing and that it would pop off, and voila go out to the car this morning and it fell off again. would not be so bad if the trip to the dealership didn't take 35 minutes one way. hopefully the new cover will end the frustration hopefully by the end of the week.

There is a bulletin on this. It needs a new latch installed.

I found it and printed out, thanks for letting me know, I think they ordered the part but I think he said it was another cover so I have no Idea if they know what they are doing.

FYI, GM says that you need a new latch every time that cover is pulled.

Gotta hope the tech knows that and new clips come with the cover, the cover has a scratch on it so maybe he is killing two birds with one stone, or at least I hope.

HMMMM it's just a snap in latch.. I've had mine off and on for installing radar detector wires, no problems.

Yes, the clip can be ordered separately. The cover does NOT need to be replaced. Sorry, I don't have the part number but it just comes in a plastic bag. 5 min install.

well I just got back and I think it is fixed finally, the body shop manager said that they replaced both the cover and the clips that hold it on so I should know in a day or two if it worked. all seems well.
