LOL...they're probably sending telemetry to the truck or somewhere else locally.

They evidently don't want us to know where the cars are going to be. Wonder why? Cause they aren't cleaned up nice and pretty?

Guess what...that's the configuration, per the Chevy ordering guide. If you order the RS package with the HID headlamps, the fog lamps become the daytime running lights.

Also, on 12/4, Chevy announced the order codes for the SS versions in both blues and the polished wheel option for the RS package. We've had this confirmed for some time now; however, the factory has actually made the order system mods to make it happen.

So what is the point of the halo rings in the HID lamps? I thought those were supposed to be the DRLs. Lame.

But those shots are great. 1 G8s and 7 Camaros is the greatest collection of awesomeness on one stretch of freeway ever.

Yes, I read somewhere that with the RS package the fog lights will double as the daylight running lamp. I look for the article that had this in it.

PS:

NICE pictures. I feel like a kid again when my old man told me he saw santa a few miles a way from the house so I should get into bead before Santa sees the lights on and doesn't stop.

IT'S ALMOST TIME....

Just one more reason the RS package is a must.

OK - I'm starting to get the urge to override the social chairman at the house here and go back to the blue. What is the consensus of which blue is in the photos? If you look at the Aqua Blue on the HHR chart, it seems to go more green/teal and that's not necessarily a good thing. I'm in the mood for a rich, pure glow-in-the-daylight blue with white striping.

this is Aqua Blue Metallic. Imperial Blue is much darker. to see in person, go to a dealer and look at the HHR

Hey, HooliganZ, thank your dad for us. He did some serious manuvering, and speed and lane changing for you to get those shots. I mean, you got shots of the black one from all 4 sides! He must like cars too.

The fog lamps act as day time running lamps when the RS option is added. You will notice that the silver one is an SS and therefore the headlights are the day time runnning lamps. Not sure if you can turn them off or not.

If they are like the ones on my Sky and HHR you can turn them off, but you have to each time you start the car...

the black one is a SS/RS, so it has the red SS badge. if you see halos & a mail slot, it's a SS/RS

I'm glad I went with black. That looks awesome on the road. Mine will have CGM stripes though. Wonder when we will see some Maros with stiping? I know many on this site haven't made up their mind on color or stripe color. It would help a lot if we we're to see some before orders get locked in.

The Foglights are the daylight running lamps on an RS-equipped cars. The Halo rings don't put out enough light to qualify as DRLs.

...IIRC, the Halos are manually-activated totally separate from the rest of the lights...which, imo - is badass!
