Dealer Experience - I feared bad but turned out Great

I see so many posts here about bad dealer experiences so I thought I would post a positive one.

I took my camaro in for some TSB work (A/C, PDIM, Struts). Got the car back and left. About 10 minutes later I stopped and noticed that they had dinged/scraped one of the spokes on the front wheel when they removed it to replace the strut.

I will admit, I figured I was going to get an arguement as I had already left the dealership. I went back about 45 minutes later. They called the Service Manager, Dave, and he came out and looked at the wheel for 2 seconds then turned to me and said "I will order you a new one"

I was thrilled that he didn't debate the issue or to try and have it fixed, he simply did the best/right thing and offered to replace it.

So I would like to give a big thumbs up for customer service to Dave at Paramus Chevrolet in Paramus NJ. Thank You!

thats nice to hear. they probably only knew what their tech had done so they didn't argue but they could have as u had already left their premises and came back. You got lucky.

same thing happened to me after a wheel balance at a dealer but they argued with me over the phone when I got home and noticed it, I took back the next day and it took me asking to speak to the manager and waititng half a day before they admitted the balancer cone made the scratch and they replaced it for me but it was not a nice expierience.

Had a similar problem after having the spoiler issue. When got car back had over spray all over and scraped wheel. Took back to dealer and got paint fixed. Wheel will get and free oil change. Malouf in north Brunswick are great.
