Exclamation Dye stitching in interior

Hello all I was surfing around not too long ago & came across a member who had dyed his stitching yellow to match color of his camaro. He posted pictures of the actual process and results. The tube of dye was also pictured. I have been searching for hours/days to try & find this info with no luck. If anyone knows the link to this member or knows of the dye that will turn the stitching from White to Yellow please post info for me. Thanks for the help.

He regretted it after doing it. The color started to wear off within 2 weeks. If you want new stitching buy the new parts with it. IMO

I tried using an acrylic to dye the stitches, but I didn't like how it looked. At a distance it looks good, but when you look closely you can see the paint in the holes between the stitches and it just looked kinda messy in my opinion. So I went back to hobby lobby and bought a fabric dye pen and it works AMAZING!! All you have to do is run over the stitches a couple times and then wipe off the excess and your done! It takes 24 hours to dry permanently but even right after you put it on there it doesn't come off even if you rub at it.

Yeah I tried the acrylic too, it just looked really messy even though I used a fine brush to apply, luckily, I got it off with water and a rag.
I will try the fabric dye pen next.

Do you have any pics that you can share? Also can you share the item number. I don't want to get the wrong type of pen. Thanks

Thanks for the info on the pen. That looks really good. Has it rubbed off on your clothes? Any fading? Any bleeding onto your leather? Sorry for the tons of questions but you are the official expert.

no problem about the info at all. no there is no rubbing off on your clothes at all, so far there is no fading at all, i have had it for over a month as a daily driver and a friend had his done for over 6 months and still looks as good as new. as long as you take your time and wipe the stiching line after every foot or so it comes right off the leather without and sign of bleeding at all.( do not do the whole car and allow it to dry before running a damp rag over it. if so it can dry and then stain the leather). if you wanna see closer pics or have any other questions just ask. by the way i would suggest 4 pens to do your whole interior.
