, my funky brother! Tons of threads on this subject! It's all fairly subjective based on what you're after.

General idea though (from my findings and personal experiences)

Barton = great bang for your buck
MGW = pretty much the best

I have ehe Hurst and love the looks. As for shift quality? I have felt better. I think I will be switching to the MGW in spring. The shifter feels to notchy for me. My dad has one in his stang and it feels the same way. It's not a bad shifter, but after you try some of the other out there that are smoother, there is no comparison. Just my opinion I guess.

Just finished putting in a Barton. Not as smooth as the stock shifter but I love the short throw and the look of the black SS ball. I also order an orange ball to match the car and the stock OEM stick if I want to go back to the stock knob, I like to have options.

I have the hurst shifter very noticeable diffrence over stock! at least 40 % shorter hurst says 44% and much crisper shifts. However it is a bit noisy (chatty)
