Clutch smell on startup new 2011 ss

Whenever I start the car, I smell clutch. Like a burning clutch. I also do sometimes at very low speeds when taking off in gear. It isnt because I'm slipping the clutch, either. The car is brand new, less then 150 miles.

Any ideas/anyone experienced similar?

wel the stock clutch does have problems with it, you are pushing the clutch all the way down at start right? and the speed thing might be from you burning the clutch. or maybe theres something wrong with the clutch... how long have you been driving a stick ?

My brand new V6 smelled at the beginning. I thought I broke something on the way home from the dealer. Even called back on the side of the road. They assured me that was just the way they smelled off the delivery truck. Not because of the clutch, but because the car was brand new. It might be you, it might be the new car. My car stopped smelling around 300 or so miles.

They are smelly clutches till you break them in. Trust me, I've done it twice. It should go away in a few hundred miles.

Now that I think about it, I do have a manual, and it did smell like the clutch. So maybe what I said above, you can apply to the clutch.

Mine only stunk when when I gave it too much gas before the friction point... But now not so much. It stopped after about 500 miles for me.

Mine had an odor when backing into the garage, have to slip it
a little to get up the ramp
After about 2000 miles it doesn't do it anymore also clutch was very sensitive
at first would stall on take off once in a while but that too corrected itself
now if I install the skip shift eliminator it would be perfect.

The odor has gone away for the most part. Seems its just breaking in. Almost 500 miles now.
