Every time i start my car it makes almost like a backfire type noise every time. I first thought it was normal and then when i rented another camaro when i got back from afghanistan the other car same model never did this. Im just tyring to find out if somethings wrong or if its just me any help would be amazing.

Mine did it for the first 300 miles, then it went away. Too bad I liked it...

just take it to the dealer so they can tell you it's normal, even though you have the gut feeling that it's not hahah

really... you should take a video of your start-up so we can hear. is your car AUTO/MANUAL? i hear a "pop" when i start my L99, but definitely not a "backfire"

is your exhaust stock?

My L99 does it on occasion and has since I bought it new, even after installing a Pypes cat back system.

Drive at about 40mph while giving it a little throttle then let off the throttle and let the engine idle down that should make a popping noise. If thats the same sound you're hearing then it's normal. If not has the car been sitting for a long time? Could be old gas.

Mine would pop too. Honestly, the fuse pull might be your answer here. After that my pop and decel popping was virtually gone.
