Spent all day on phone with TCI trying to resolve brake line fitting issue. Blown off for another day. Buyer beware of TCI.

Probably the same issue I'm having with my Hurst line-lock. Nobody seems to be able to tell me what the fittings I need to be able to put one on the car. I've put them on my other cars in the past. It's not that difficult. I'd just like to know what the lines and connectors are sized at.

Hurst does not currently offer a "camaro specific" line lock kit. if you get some answers please share though

Correct. I don't really understand what the issue is other than these companies want to sell a $160 kit rather than telling me what the brake line specifics are or sell me the $13 brass fittings for the solenoid I already have. That's what Hurst did for me with the '97 Camaro. I don't see why it's an issue now.

my guess would be Hurst has not checked out the brake assembly on the camaro to determine what fittings are needed. But, if TCI has a "specific" kit they offer for our car and can;t get the information correct then shame on them

I have the TCI kit installed on my car with no issues and works fine. Sounds like mercuryman just got wrong fittings, which of course is on TCI. But they do have a kit that works and bolt up nicely to the master. It sounds like the are sending the correct fittings for mercury but should probably give him something else to compensate for their error.

Hurst is doing a turbo'd v6 2011(?) special edition Camaro but they haven't looked at the brake system? This just sounds wrong.

Corrrect. There is an issue with the fittings I have now. They are sending some more fittings to me. Bottom line is it leaked with the original fittings. Further you can't go to Auto Zon and find fittings. Hopefuuly it seals up with the new fittings. Just a hasssle. I should be running it. Not fighting to make it work.

well I hardly think that is the case. Sure they make $ as does every other company, but to make a comment like that is not really necessary when they have been at the forefront of supporting this board and its members
