Convertible Thread

At the risk of being jumped on by those who self-police the forums: I think the 'vert is due it's own thread at least and possible its own board for discussion.

In either case, here's a thread to talk about the Convertible.

Wow you just opened a big can of worms!! all the convertible haters will be all over this one!!

More places for them to say "it looks bad" "I don’t like it" "Why would anyone own one of them" "it should be a hard top convertible" ...

Any way can't wait to get my 2nd Camaro Convertible!!!!!

Hopefully, pre-orders will begin sometime towards the end of October. RUMORS have it that some specs and pricing may be out 1st to 2nd week of October. There might be an early debut at SEMA, else LA autoshow towards end of November will be first view. Now you know "almost" everything I know or think I know about the Vert

What's interesting is that people are talking like it may be a 2012 model, which I doubt given it's street date, but that'd be awesome as the '12 gets a revamped interior according to...well....rumors.

I'm very interested to hear more on paint as well, since the demise of ABM ended one of my favorite color choices. Here in W. WA, it's cloudy all the bloody time (yeah, I'm still getting a 'vert so I'm not that smart) so all the darker colors end up looking too dark to me.

I'm in line to get the 2SS 'vert as soon as ordering opens and despite naysayers, I'm planning on loving it to death!

Add me to the waiting list .

If a good blue (think Lemans or Marina) isn't offered, it will be custom painted. (I already have a IBM TrailBlazer and don't want another with the same color ~ would look weird in my driveway).

The 'vert should add another 3-4k to the price tag, similar to the Mustang as far as I know.

Dealers have been taking deposits. Some will have allocation (two consensus's October-December 2010), some will have very little...depending on coupe sales.

In Q1 (January-March) we will have pricing and brochures at the dealership...Figure about $4000 - $4500 more than a coupe

I am REALLY looking forward to when I get my Camaro from Eric and hopefully pulling into my local dealership who haven't received one yet. That would make my year!

I'll be trading for a ragtop, but considering the gouging that the dealers will do at first, I will wait.

I don't know if it's the "be prepared" boy scout of old or the quest to be an over achiever,,, but I have ordering deposits at TWO dealers One way or another...I'm going to get one And it can't get here soon enough!

I've been waiting for the vert if for no other reason to be able to roll the back windows down. Though it sucks we're being financially penalized and no hard tonneau cover is being incorporated into the design.

Do you still get body colored roof ditch molding on the RS package for the convertible?
