Thats definitly fixable maybe to make it cheaper they can blend the bumper instead of painting the whole thing

same thing happend to our tahoe this week. I'm having a body shop do mine and pay out of pocket instead of turning it in on insurance. But basically I've had two different body shops tell me the best way is to remove the bumper, remove the backup sensors if eqipped, sand the portion that was hit smooth, scuff the entire bumper, paint on your basecoat in the one area, clearcoat the entire bumper. That's the best way, but I'm sure there's cheaper fixes for a tradeoff in quality.

$460 bucks from GM and you get a new bumper cover. Mine is sitting in the garage waiting to go to paint and body next week.
