Can stock handle the power?

I see sigs showing all kinds of nice mods like cams, headers, CAI, catbacks, FI etc.

Can the drivetrain handle the horses? At what point do you need to start looking past HP production and start looking at keeping the car from tearing itself apart?

i think it can handle.. but when you have like 600 HP.. its all about how you handle the HP .. 500rwhp + your drive train probably wont last as long but if you know how to drive it then thats different

I am no gear head nor do I pretend to be...but when I brought this thing into my shop and he saw the ci and 6.2 liter engine the first thing he said was "holy s---, this thing was built for mods" lol...i just smiled

you could tear up the clutch on a stock engine if you abuse it but it seems like most people are starting to beef up the drivetrain around 550-600rwhp. some do it earlier, some later. but like others said before me, it has to do with the purpose you have for the car.

I don't ever plan to take mine to a track. It's my daily driver but I sometimes engage in "spirited driving."

You should be fine. I've been at 550/550 for a year and this week moving it up to 600/600. I expect no problems and I beat the snot out of my car!

But, with an automatic transmission and torque converter. It is the manual transmission guys breaking stuff even without modifications. Secret? Dont' pop the clutch. Slippage prevents breakage

I think it can handle it. It is a big decision to throw out the warranty though, so make sure your wallet can handle it as well. Power is addicting and the more power the more parts will break...it is not a matter of if, but when.

yup.. make sure you leave extra money to repair.. usually when you have a car with over 500 rwhp.. its should be a weeken car.. dont be driving it all of the time

i would say.. like CAI, long tubes, exhaust, dyno ... tune would be prefect for a everyday car 420whp, but if you can have like 500 rwhp for a everyday car.. just have to take it easy
