Changed Intake to CAI Inc w/Jannetty Tune

I pulled the Fastlane Pipeline Intake off and installed the CAI Inc. sealed air box kit. I must say I am very impressed with the quality of this intake kit. Top notch for the money and the fit is perfect. Plus, it looks good, to me any way, thats all that matters right? After a discussion on the phone with Ted Jannetty I decided to go this route. With his custom tune in the ECU now, this car is friggin' rockin'!!! Much thanks to the personal attention from Ted at Jannetty Racing. If your on the fence about who to have design a custom tune for your setup, In my opinion Ted is the man to go to!!! Thanks Ted the car runs better than ever now.

Issh, you won't be disappointed! I just really like the looks of this intake over the previous one.

Ted and his staff are awesome, I brought my Camaro to Jannetty Racing back in June and had the JRE Street Package installed, I love it, I am really hoping to have my Camaro back at Ted's to be Supercharged sometime soon.

Forgive me for being the black sheep but why did you change CAI's? Was it just for looks? A tune on your previous CAI would have givin the same performance results.

JS, Where on here did I say "this one is better". I said I like the looks of this one better but the performance in the end would be pretty close to the same, I agree. To tell you the truth without going into details, I was not happy with the Fastlane product or the customer support, simple as that. I am not here to slander people, and appear to be a minority with the issues Fastlane had. I have a friend who runs the pipeline without any problems. I just had a a little bad luck was irritated and switched intakes.

I have one too, i just wanted to point out some things i found out about the intake, first the tube gets really hot, second the air filter is letting dust small sand particles through into the the tube, I was concern by this because if sand is getting into the engine not a good thing. I'm thinking about getting a new set up or changing the tube to plastic and getting another type of filter,

The tube will get hot. This proves the ceramic coating is doing its job. If you touch a non-coated tube it will be cold. This happens because the intake air draws the heat from the tube. The ceramic coating we apply helps reduce heat transfer therefore the outside of the tube will be hot while the inside air remains cool, thus giving you better performance.

In response to the claim of there being sand or dust particles found in the tube, if you have a faulty filter we will gladly replace it with a new one. Our filters our 8 ply as opposed to a 4-6 ply filter which is industry standard. We have sold thousands of this exact system without any known problems. Although a faulty filter would be unlikely, we will gladly replace it with a new one if you would like. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Really, so I wanna start poop huh?
Not really, just my god given right to say what I feel...

JUST LIKE U TORNADO

The point is all cai kits are within a few hp of each other, I couldnt agree more that the fit and finish of the CAI Inc. is very nice. In the end its all just an opinion, dyno to dyno runs from different days, weather, heat soat mean nothing in the real world.

RUN THE CAR

Hey guys, try not to get this topic out of whack here! I merely posted this because I was impressed with the quality and the design of the kit was intriguing. I like to tinker and change things. Trust me, ask my wife how many intakes and exhaust combos I have put on my motorcycles!? Now, the Pipeline I had did in fact have a tune done for it. Just was not able to make it work in my situation for some reason. This post was not about how much power can this thing make verses the other, that has been covered by testing in another thread already. Thanks guys!
