The car has more potential than you can even imagine with the right designer

If you don't drive your Camaro for a couple weeks, when you do, the compass indicator will state: "CAL"...then you have to drive a short while before it gives you an accurate direction indicator.

Don't know if anyone mentioned this, but you can program your TPMS yourself by simply pressing the clear button with the TPMS screen up. There's a very simple procedure to follow that's posted on C5 somewhere. This is good to know if you have changed your wheels from those installed at the factory. It saves $50 bucks minimum at the dealership.

I have found that you can inadvertently down shift while fiddling with the DIC controls because they are so close to the shifter paddles. Just the other morning I was going about 40 MPH on a back country road and I wanted to check my tire pressures, when I was pushing the button the back of my thumb nudged the shifter and the car started bucking because it was down in a lower gear lol. It freeked me out at first because I didn't realize I was causing the problem, but once I put the car in neutral and back in drive I realized I needed to be more careful when I am using the DIC button.

PS: it would be rather embarrassing explaining THAT to a cop "uh ya officer I was playing with my DIC and uh......"

The labour alone to replace all the airbags and sensors with parts would come to well over $10,000

I've had my car for almost two years. With that said I recently returned from Afghanistan and when I got my Camaro 1LT/RS back from my folks and went to adjust the steering wheel down... the whole damn thing came forward. I thought I broke it somehow and freaked for a second. Go figure, I didn't know it telescoped.

Badges

I "think" the red SS badge means youhave a 2SS. straight drive, v8, RS package.

Is this true?

WHat does an RS badge mean?

Does anyone have a rundown on what the various Gen 5 badges mean?thanks, and thanks for such a cool forum

Red SS = 8 cyl. with RS package
White SS = 8 cyl. no RS package

RS badge = 6 cyl with RS package
No Badge = 6 cyl. no RS package
