Catch Can and Breather Filter

I have had a Revextreme catch can on my car for about 2,000 miles and am very happy that I got it. I get about two or three tablespoons of oil out of it every 600 miles or so.

Also put one of their valve cover breather filters on. Will see if it makes any difference with the catch can operation.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but I always thought those breather filters were illegal street wise because they put so much evaporated oil droplets into the air

You may find that the catch can won't get as much fluid in it. Some of the oil vapor might be vented out of the filter.

The filter only acts as a filtered fresh make up air source for the crankcase evac. At sustained WOT when there is very little intake manifold vacuum you may see some signs of oil in the filter media, but very little if any.

And yes, these are NOT 50 state legal for emissions, and are intended for off-road/race use only.

I race off road a lot - in my dreams! Seriously, I am not worried about environmental damage because I have this installed on my car. People who remove their cats are adding a lot more polution to the atmosphere than someone using this filter.
