I think Bay Area and Sactown should meet up with Central Cal and Bakersfield at the In an Out Burger at the Grapevine again. Huge parking lot and gas station. What do you all think?

What do you think about all groups meeting up at the Cabazon Mall or somewhere past the 10/60 merge and convoy from there.

I'm down for whatever will be best. I'm an hour south of Sac and an hour north of San Jose. Us Bay Area peeps will need to get an early start in order to be on schedule with the So Cal crew. It's 772 miles to Chandler from Benicia which is a 10.2 hour drive if you average 75mph with no stops. So it'll more realistically be an 11.5 hour drive when you factor in stopping for gas, food, etc.

Or Sactown could meet us around Tracy and head down to pick up Fresno and Bako along the way

I'm in Napa and can hook up with you to head towards the rest of the Bay Area group.

We just need to plan our departure based on LA's so we can meet up and show up as one!!

That's a good idea for So. Cal. groups to meet and continue together. Easy on/off freeway.

That sounds like a plan for Nor Cal & Cen Cal Gary....then we can meet up with the larger group.

I also agree w/ comm17 about finding a place on the east side of LA for everyone to meet at "What do you think about all groups meeting up at the Cabazon Mall or somewhere past the 10/60 merge and convoy from there." Sort of a funnel effect because trying to get 200 camaro's out of Los Angeles could be difficult. Say maybe Palm Springs???

A good Norcal meet place would be the rest stop at 5 and 580 near Westley.

Cabazon is literally 5-10 minutes west of Palm Springs. Also the old Casino Morongo lot that is visible from freeway that could be meet up place.

Thanks for clarification.....only been out that way a couple of times and it was a while ago...

But I think that would work out great! Everyone has their smaller meeting places and it would be a little easier to maneuver through LA then WHAM - HUGE group and open road!!!!

The Morongo Casino is good. Around back of the casino is the open parking lot that is huge. I was just there 3 weeks ago.

Just make sure that after you exit the interstate for the casino you go through the roundabouts the right way and watch for
oncoming cars

Let's is all just meet up at morongo casino In palm springs it's right off the freeway and won't have to worry about kissing people because of turns and red lights. I'll go earlier and make sure the parking lot is great then go inside the casino to (gamble) talk to the head of security about the best parking lot they have to ensure while we wait for everyone our cars will be safe

I will meet up with you guys in Southern California unless I can find someone to share the driving. I fall a sleep behind the wheel when I try to do the long drives. I will probably do the 700+ mile drive in two days each way. Can't wait to see a sea of Camaros on the freeway and at the event.

Sacto area people can head down 99 and meet the freno/bakersfield people. Dont' know if it is better to go 58 over to (the) 10 or to head up over the grapevine.

Sounds good. Hopefully more Bako people answer soon.

Sounds good, but everytime I go to Cabazon the parking lot is crowded. Don't know if you guys know which parking area is less crowded.

Over the grapevine would be better IMO. But it'll be a PIA to get from the 5 to the 10.

Edit: through the grapevine would be good to meet with the people coming down the 5.
But looking at the map, the 58 to 15 would be so much better to avoid LA traffic, if we indeed are meeting at Cabazon.
The I-5 people coming from the north might want to cross the 5 through the 58 to meet us if they want to avoid LA traffic too.

That's what I was thinking. Sac and anyone further north could meet the Bay Area group there (Westley rest area) as well as Modesto/Manteca and head south to meet Fresno at Harris Ranch and meet up with Bako at the Grapevine.

So, do you mean that everyone should just go on their own to Morongo, or should each "zone" meet at Morongo?
