Thinking about stroking it

Would taking the LS3 to a 4" stroke require any upgrade to the injectors?
I'm just trying to budget for the winter upgrade.

How does a somewhat larger cam (227/243@.050 .614/.624 LSA 113°) behave when you increase the stroke?

A lot of Money for Little gain.

No you would not need bigger injectors.

You better off getting blown .

you can build a complete new engine, new gm block, forged rotating assy, crank, rods, pistons, CNC ported heads(with matching valvetrain components), cam, new pan/ front rear covers, depending on what crank rods/piston combo min of 415ci-427ish ci all for right around $7300,, now you pull your old engine out and sell it as a complete long block for $4500,, in the end you now have only $2800 in a complete brand new stroker engine,, this is what i did.

My plan was to use the stock engine and add the forged rotating assy. If I knew I could get $4500 out my engine, then that would be great. Hennessy has a 16 mile LS3 longblock on eBay for $3500, so I'm too comfortable going that route.
I can get a forged rotating assy, bearings, hardware and gaskets for right around $2K. My only extra cost would be balancing and honing.

That was my thought at first, if I was going FI, I wanted forged internals, so if I do it, just have to decide on the CR in case I do.

That is if we are still talking engines.

Appreciate the input! Like I said, just trying to budget this.
I'm already in the 450 rwhp range, so another 40 in^3 could get me in the low lower end of stock+TVS performance.
I want to be able to budget for clutch and axles, maybe some wheels/tires for the track.

Your only going to gain about 1 hp per cubic inch.

With your current combo if you add FI you could easily gain 300 rwhp and still drive it every day, but you would need bigger injectors

what kind of torque, because I thought the idea behind a stroker was not horsepower but torque. I wouldn't mind a blown stroker

Horse Power is a Mathematical equation derived from Torque.

You can't have one without the other.
