Looks really nice with the IBM! Thank you for posting the pictures. This will make the decision easier!

Congratulations, I may be biased, but the white stripes look awesome, and give the car some "punch".

Hello all!!! Been on hiatus for a long time now. Spent some time deployed to Kuwait and then was re-missioned over here to Afghanistan, so I've been out of the loop. The network had my favorite site blocked... :( But I got a new computer and it lets me on, for now...lol Anyways... I was very intent on buying a Summit White 2SS and having IBM stripes painted on it. But, have always been a fan of IBM and after spending much time going over all the gorgeous pics of everyone on this threads cars, I've been pursuaded to place my order when I'm home in July on R&R for an IBM 2SS with white stripes. For now that is. Just want to say thanks to everyone for posting all the pics and keeping this vet entertained. Keep em' commin'!

-DUNK-

p.s. I don't have a lot of time on here when I do, so I'm gonna ask a dumb question, but any word on HUD?

Thanks for your service Dunk31 and I know I really like my IBM. IBM on a sunny days really makes the lines of the Camaro pop. I opted for the 1LT and I'm sure the SS would be great also. Be sure to post pics when you get your new SS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Summit white makes a good looking Camaro but here in the rural midwest with all the bugs I figured the IBM would be easier to keep clean. So far I'm totally satisfied with my Camaro.

Thanks VASCAR2. Where in Illinois are you located? I'm really about an hour south of St. Louis, MO, but if I told anyone they'd never know where I was talking about, plus I spend enough time in the STL to just add that. I didn't even think of the rural midwest and bugs, but honestly I don't plan on having it out that often. My 93 Z-28 will still be my daily driver. Hopefully I won't be spending hours after my Sunday drives with tar and bug remover like I had to do on past cars. I agree about the lines popping more with the IBM too. I saw enough running around VA of the Summit White before I deployed and I wasn't impressed with the detail of the lines it provided, but still love the White W/IBM stripes combo idea, just like the IBM more I "think"... LOL Plenty of time to make up my mind though.

I live near the Illinois/Indiana border about 40 miles north of I 64 in a rural area no one would recognize. My area seems to miss a lot of the heavier snow and I can use a Camaro as a daily driver. I also have a 2nd Camaro, a 1994 V6 with 5 spd manual that I can drive if if the weather or roads are bad. I'd probably have a couple more Camaros if I could afford them.

So you're on the other side of the state. When I drive back and forth from Virginia I take 64 untill I hit 255. Of the 16 hour drive I spend about 14 of it on 64.

I think I'd like to have a second as a daily drive, but my dad always talks about all these muscle cars of his era he owned and regrets getting rid of each and every one of them. So in a sense this is the muscle of my era for me. And I want to make sure I keep it forever. I will own other Camaro's as long as they keep producing them, but this is the one that will stick with me.
I have my 93 Z-28 and will have my new SS, (I used to own a 94 Firebird too, the V6, but it was an auto. It was a fun little car when I was in my teen years.) but my dad's back home finishing up the 70 Chevelle SS and is starting to bug me about another father/son project. We went original on the Chevelle. I told him I'd do a 68 or 69 Camaro, but it would be my way. All updated technology, a big block, basically a SMC, just something outrageous...lol I'm looking forward to it, he's been online looking for a straight car for us. But that's a chore in it's self.

Everybody with IBM has white stripes...

Makes me want to take my stripes off and get something different.. like CGM.
To me, the car is too dark for white stripes... silver of CGM would be cool

I have CGM rally stripes ordered. The pics I have seen of IBM with CGM stripes look sweet. I will post tons of pics when I get them installed.

Yeah, I have seen one or two with it... and I think its damn near invisible in pictures but will probably look much better in person.

I like the idea of stealthy stripes... Instead of screaming across the interstate to the cops "HEY LOOK AT ME"...
I would rather it be subtle.. so the person easing through the parking lot, or walking up will suddenly get closer and "damn.. that car has stripes"

Almost like ghost flames/ghost stripes.... but not using blue.

I dont want to get the stock stile stripes though... I want to have my stripes cross over the mail slot.... but instead of bumblebee stripes, i want to keep mine narrower... Not as Narrow as SLP.. but basically the same as if you took the stock stripes and slid them down, then just continued them back towards the window at about the same width.
