PaceSetter Long Tube

Hi
I need an advise regarding to PaceSetter Long Tube Header with Armor Coat for my L99 with corsa cat-back and roto-fab.

*Armor Coat metallic ceramic coating resists rust and corrosion and will not turn blue .

Is the headers good quality and performane?

thnx

Pacesetter, while not the best "quality" is a well known brand that has been around for many years. Performance is average. If you like em...buy em! I'm sure you'll be happy with them.

For the money they are hard to beat. They are a mild steel header that is ceramic coated. They will last quite a while as long as they are taken care of and do not drag them across the ground. They offer both catted and non-catted connection pipes to hook up to the factory X-pipe as well. We have them on the shelf if you decide to go that way! Let us know if you have any other questions!

Agreed. I will be installing mine this weekend. I bought mine from amazon.com for $375 for the coated headers and $110 for the off road mids. Shipping was free. Not a bad deal. Very odd that amazon.com had them. But that is a kick ass price. Only down side so far is thy didn't have the headers in stock so it'll take three weeks for the headers to get to me. The ORP's came right away.

We're a big proponent of Kooks and the TSP headers - we've seen them both give great results and the build quality is top notch. ...however, the pacesetters are a great budget header and lightyears beyond stock manifolds. If they fit your budget, I'd say go for it. If you're looking to maximize your gains, I'd save a bit longer and get a top notch header.

The TSP header system includes everything from headers all the way to tips. If your looking for a complete system the TSP system can't be beat. If your trying to get just headers only for your stock h pipe & mufflers then the Pacsetters will work. Typically we see about 18rwhp from the Pacesetters. Some of the complete systems like TSP's, Kooks, and ARH make 35rwhp+

Just out of curiosity.....you're seeing 18 hp from Pacesetter? I'm assuming that's without a tune?

Then when you say 35+ for KOOKS that is with a tune?

Had a buddy with Pacesetter headers, rusted through in a year. On a budget, sure go for it.

I would say rusting through in a year on a coated header is an extrmely RARE thing. If you beat the coating off them and lived at the beach it could happen. However, I would say that is not the norm at all. Typically we see customers with coated headers 4 and 5 years down the road with them that still look to be in good shape. It's all about how you treat them and where you live...

Best of luck!,

Here's what the Pacesetters did on a car that already had a good X pipe.
