BBK Longtubes on the way

I am going to be installing the bbk long tubes on my ss as soon as they get here..my question is since i have the cats comming with them as well will i still need a tune?? I wanted to wait on the tune a little while, and since the cats are still going to be in place is the car going to throw any codes??

From past experience, it may not throw a code right away, but eventually it will. I was going to hold out, but ended up tuning it sooner rather than later.

It usually take about 300 miles but you will throw a code.

With longtubes, you'll get codes. Plan on doing a tune after the install.

Good luck!

I threw a code with the BBK SS LT's in less than 20 miles. I picked up a ton of power too! Go get Ted to tune your car so I can get a copy of it.

I've put over 1k miles on my car since I added the headers and haven't been able to get my local shop to get a tune scheduled yet.

Ted, have you done a LS3 tune with BBK's LT's and CAI?

Since the BBKs are on Backorder and are only 1 3/4 may I suggest Dynatech 1 7/8 Long tubes with high flow cats, we have several in stock.

If you read my Header Test you would not have chosen 1 3/4

Give me a call for Pricing.

Ted.
