Went to the dealership this morning, I showed them what it is doing. About an hour later they tried giving my some BS about it working with no problems with the techs iPod, told me I needed to update the iPod software. Told them I did that already did that and I have the latest software on it. I also told them that it happens with my wife & daughters iPod, it works ok for a few days then stops.

I finally got them to agree to order a new one, confirmed they had the latest P/N. But the service lady said if they send it back to GM and they find no issues with it then GM will not pay for the new one. She said she'll have to talk to her manager and for me to call later. So I don't know if they say GM doesn't find any issues if they are going to try and bill me for the new one.

I tell you what, if they don't do me right with this they will loose me and all my friends as customers.

And I did take the document from this thread to show them.

Call GM Customer Service and inform them that the dealership you are dealing with REFUSES to follow a TSB that GM publised for the Camaros to take care of the PDIM problem.

I have an iPod with 11142 songs on it. Plays like a champ on Shuffle, but if I start searching for songs to play, it quite often freezes. Is this the same problem that y'all are having?

Manager called back and after some BS from him and telling him I was going to call GM Customer Service he agreed to replace it. He also tried to tell me that according to my VIN I had the most current version of the PDIM. I had the PDIM installed after I got the car, so I asked him how he knew that from my VIN if it wasn't an original option and like I didn't know how to check the version.

I'll update after I get it installed. I think once it's completed I'm going to have to find a new dealer to get work done.

My 2011 vert comes up with "DB/DB"......is that cool? Haven't had any problems yet, just wondering if that version is cool since I read the latest is "DB/DD."

Wow...still going on...

I got mine fixed ages ago. it's so nice now not having that damn thing get all jacked up every time you turn the radio on...

That's what I got (upgraded to) in my 2010 SS- works like a champ. Still have the occasional issue though of it not remembering "random play" using my iphone even though when I go to that menu on the radio random does show "on" even though it's not...

I have not even heard from my dealership since they he was supposed to call the gm tech again, after installing DA/??, and damaging my center console. I gave them the correct part number for the second time. Im getting tired of this place. If you say you will call then call.

IIRC, the dealership will ONLY replace a DA module with another DA module on a 2010 vehicle under warranty so unfortunately I don't know what you expect them to do? Granted, I would FULLY expect them to fix my center console if they fu**** it up; that's a different issue though. I had to pay for the DB module upgrade and installed it myself.

Just checked mine & it is:
HD = CB
SW = CC
The TSB doesn't mention the CB..only the CX & DA

Vin # 5116

PI0055B covers both 2010 and 2011 model years. Per it, they should up grade to DB. The DA had fixed some of the issues but not all of them.

Which HW/SW combo did your car come with and last digits of your VIN (B9...) if you don't mind? Just curious where the DA->DB hardware cutoff actually was in production.

It came with CC & C? (Did not log the software version before they updated it with a software patch to CE).

They finally update the Module to DA/DX at the last attempt to fix.

It was manufactured Aug 2010.

Ya, mine came with CC/CE IIRC and that was at the start of 2010 production. I guess the other question is when was the "C" hardware module replaced with module DA ? That had to be somewhere mid-stream in 2010 production probably not long after your build...

It had to be sometime after November, 2010. Mine came with "C" hardware.
