Blew a JBA mid pipe gasket need help

Hey everyone, I recently blew one of my gaskets that JBA supplied on my highflow midpipes, due to a bolt coming loose. They are a simple 2 bolt flange type gasket with a 2.5in OD. And to my astonishment I cannot find a decent relplacement. No autozone, kragens, or pepboys seem to have anything of that nature. and my muffler guy can only find 2in OD gaskets. I called JBA and they said im kinda SOL since they come as a set with the pipes and they dont sell the gasket by its self. Anyone know where i can find a set of these type of gaskets? I tried google but i can only fine 3 bolt collector types and the 2in OD 2 bolt types... anyone know a place i order a set?

Can you find the gasket material in sheet form and cut your own?

Summit or jegs is also a safe bet. They stock every gasket known to man, and some made by chuck norris.

Probably because a bolt came loose and the gasket burned through.

Just installed JBA mid pipes and I used black oxide ARP 12 point flange ( 12mm head ) m10-1.50 X 35mm bolts with ARP stainless steel 12 point flange ( 12mm head ) m10-1.50 nuts to secure the JBA mid pipes to the BBK headers. I used modified stock GM metal gaskets ( exhaust manifold to midpipe ) P/N 92202326 with the "wire mesh" removed. Once you see the gasket you'll know what I mean about the "wire mesh" which is easily removed with a pick. Didn't like the stock JBA fasteners or gaskets. The GM metal gasket will last forever and is reusable.

exactly. as i stated it wasnt a bad install. all was good till a bolt came loose. I went to a shop today that deals with summit and he called his distributer and same luck, they only have 2in OD in that style of gasket. so he recommended I cut one myself which is what i may have to do. kinda odd...then again i ran into the same situation with my supra a few years back when i blew a down pipe gasket, however the company tanabe was able to replace the gasket. Not to knock on JBA at all. I love their product and I stand by it, however it does kinda suck.:(

Thumbs up These are the same as JBA's gaskets

Here's what you need. Notice how the bolt holes are slotted? They're identical to the gaskets JBA supplies.

Works better than gaskets in some cases.

Just call JBA, they'll fix you up. I busted a clamp installing my JBA exhaust (my fault, used a high-torque impact gun) and they sent a new one free of charge.

well as i explained i did and they said there is nothing they can do. They said they do not have gaskets just laying around to send. "their words". anyhow im not here to bash JBA on this one paticular case. JBA put out a great product and i will recommend these to anyone. It just so happens there wasnt really anything they can do.

Thanks for all the info everyone. I have enough here to go ahead and get a replacement.

JBA Mid Pipe Gasket

You may want to check the flange to make sure it is as flat as possible. I had a problem with mine and I had a low spot in the flange of the mid pipe which left a slight void which in turn burned out the gasket. I'm wondering of the metal gasket that GM uses at the manifold would work, I bet it would! I had a extra gasket by luck but I would try a GM gasket. I took a metal file and flatten out that flange by running it across in different directions. Just a FYI
