Question Cat-back vs Axel back

I'm kind of new to all this (just getting my first car of my own) and I'm thinking of getting a new exhaust for my car after I've had it for a little while and I was wondering whats the difference between the two? And which is better?
Thanks in advance for help.

Sound, and Price.

You'll get more of both with Cat-Back

get some LT headers...

sound, and HP for about the same price as a catback.

axlebacks are just for sound....................$300-$600
catbacks are for sound and a few HP........$600-800
LTs are for sound and ~30 HP.................$700 to 900
Full system ~35HP..............................~$2000

Axle backs are for those who are just looking for sound. Cat back systems will give you better sound and also free up a little power.
