.-* Requesting Tire Advice *-.
Hey all,
I've recently undergone some extensive performance upgrades, or at least what I consider fairly extensive. ![]() Cammed, Rockers, Springs, Retainers, Rods, Long Tubes, Intake, Exhaust, Springs, Sways, Strut Bar, I'll have members section post in a few days when im done with all the pictures., 480RWHP, was the final dyno. and around 450ft/lbs or torque (I'll post dyno sheet later) and eventually will do a writeup of all the parts ect... My rears are the stock pirelli's and they have about 20% tread life remaining. Enough to get me over and done with this season of driving.. I'm looking to change all 4 rubbers for next season and I am fairly excited about doing the Nitto NT05. My question 1.) What is the maximum width I can go, on the stock rear rim? 275, 305, 315? 2.) I reside in Canada, and Nitto doesn't ship here, so whos close to ontario that I could drive to and have these installed and mounted? 3.) Will the NT05 provide me great traction on the street, and good stickyness at the track... ** I do not routinely visit the track, but I would like to start. The car is a 2SS / RS 6.2Ltr 6spd. Bonus question: Whats the benefit of doing 275 front 305 rear -- and what would I need to accomplish this. bonus question 2. Whats the benefit of doing 305 x 305 all the way around Thanks and I hope i was somewhat clear with my questions. Nineball I hope you can chime in. *p.s., i looked at the sticky above and got realllly confused* |

So which is it?
is it because I'm Canadian? Are my questions really that dumb? 24 views, and not one person can chime in? |

hey i would suggest you not narrow yourself down to one tire,im a little biased here when it comes to brands but i would suggest you cruise to vette forums,we do alot of changeovers on brand new vettes and alot of the owners are almost fanatical about doing tire research for the vettes.Time and time again they go with a high end bridgestone product, ill just leave it at that,in the end go with what you want, not what others tell you,no go forth and drive fast and swerve.

Thankyou so much for taking time to chime in. As a matter of fact I'm lurking the vette forums right now!
I'm thinking about going with Bridgestone.. |
