That is awesome!! Will a stock LS3 survive with that much power? That is like a conservative 850 HP AKA double stock output. Bet that would get you to the grocery store in a hurry.

This one is a Yellow Transformers version and the Orange and White one in GM High Tech have been surviving LOTS of Torture Testing.

It would seem to me all it would take is one bad tank of gas and a heavy right foot and this sucker is going to blow apart. But Im the kind of guy that would spend the extra 3k for all forged internals, better bolts and balancing.

But I have come to the conclusion that most, not all, but most of these cars with high hp numbers are just dyno queens and never get driven hard for a lot of miles.

Great number though, must be a hell of a fun ride.

I have 3 cars with the same or similar combination, 736, 742, and 752 RWHP, all are Drag Raced, Rode hard and Put away Wet!

NO dyno Queens here, they all have Water Meth injection for Safety.

All 3 have Stock Untouched Long block sans the Cam and valve train upgrades.

Ted.

I agree with the dyno queen theory, but thats not the case with Teds cars. I have over 50 passes, Don, the other 740+ rwhp car has to have at least 30 and this car is beaten daily and has been down the track. He just snapped a 1000 hp axle last Sunday. We build our stuff to abuse it.

And this car does have the stock internals. Just the cam and the valve train components have been changed.

On another note, this is the third JRE car going in monday for a cage!

At these boost levels do you guys have any problems with oil blow by? Im just from the old school and haven't built an engine around factory parts. I have just always went from the bottom up taking into consideration every last detail to make thinks last, rings, bolts, studs and even gasket selection. But I will admit other than a cam and header install I have only played with gen 1 engines.

Different engine but the GT 500 guys put rods outside the blocks just north of 800 rwhp with forged internals, must not be as good of an engine.

Good luck with your bad a$$ toys. I might have to pick up an LS3 for my old Camaro and pull that old small block out LOL.

No blowby issues here the kit comes with a check valve to HELP with crank case pressure we also run a breather in place of the oil fill cap

Ted,

What mods are you making to get that power to hook up? What wheel and tire package are you running on the street, not the track?

The car this thread is about just got a set of bogarts and slicks so he'll be back at the track very soon. I'm not sure how fast he's gone yet. I think the other car has gone a best of 10.6 back in April but that was with a lesser setup and my car, before the rebuild, maxed out at 10.55. It should do better with some more rwhp.
