Torque managment system or clutch delay ?

I have been told that the ss m6 has a torque management system or some people say a clutch delay. From my experience with other car its usually a mechanical delay not allowing full engagement of the clutch saving the life of the transmission and drive-train. Just curious since a tuner told me they turn off this system with their tune, it must be an electronically control feature. If anyone has any details on this system or ways to remove this feature yourself mechanically or electronically without the purchase of a programmer? Or have I been completely misinformed about this topic please enlighten me !

Completely misinformed. The clutch is completely mechanical. The torque management is a function of the PCM that pulls timing to lower the amount of power/torque output of the engine. It is to save on the drivetrain. We tune most of it out when doing a custom tune. I like all the power the car has to give.

The clutch IS completely mechanical but the clutch pedal is a hydrolic system not cable or linkage. As sc2150 said, there is no mechanical torque management only electronic. Only way to adjust it is by a custom ECM tune to eliminate torque managemnet. This will eliminate the computers control over reducing torque from the engine. I don't know how much electronic management is involved with the M6, I do know there is a lot with the automatic trans.

there are things that can be tuned even with a manual to make a car change gears and drive better...tune isn't all about horsepower.

What things can be tuned for a manual? Seems there would be a lot for the auto but not too much can be done for the manual other than just removing any engine torque management.
