DIY: Removing airbag warning sticker the E-Z way.

Please check with local laws and ordinances and other such establishments before embarking on such a potential felonious act.

Removing Airbag Warning sticker the E-Z Way:

Required Materials
-Heatgun/Hair Dryer
-Beer
-Fingers
-Rubbing Alcohol

Steps

1. Open beer.
2. Depending on the type of beer either pour into appropriate glass or just take a sip.
3. If poured into a glass now sip.
4. Enjoy the refreshment.

Alright you're halfway done

5. Wet sticker with rubbing alcohol and let it soak, this is a good time to have another sip.
6. Apply heat over the sticker until the alcohol evaporates and the surface of the sticker is warm. Lay off the beer on this next one you'll need both hands.
7. Pry loose a corner of the sticker and start to pull away from the basically useless visor.
8. Apply rubbing alcohol to the back side of the sticker as you pull it off to keep the adhesive wet, thus breaking it down as you go.
9. Clean up remaining adhesive with a rag and rubbing alcohol and finish the beer.

Props to Steiger for his video and the much needed inspiration to find a simpler way.

Happy Modding.

Beer? Subbed out? Naaahhh. Although I don't condone underage beer consumption :p. but beer is the nectar of the gods. Bottles are where it's at for me! Thanks for the write up!

Yeah taking it off without using rubbing alcohol makes it a very long tedious process. And you'd probably have better luck with beer.

So, after you destroy your car with the alcohol and the heat gun, because you forgot that rubbing alcohol is flammable, do you consider the job a success because technically after you car is a burned out shell you "removed" the stickers?

Dont do it in the car lol, as long as u keep the blowdryer far enough away, and dont dump alcohol on the heat element, it wont ignite, just be conservative in how much alcohol you use.

And definitely do them off the car

Yea I started heating the sticker with a blow dryer first. Mind you, my car is about a year old now. It sucked! I let the rubbing alcohol sit for about 3 minutes and it pulled up with ease. Didn't hurt the finish one bit. Thanks for the tips

You'd have to try pretty hard to light rubbing alcohol with a blow dryer. Glad I've been able to help

you'd think they'd just take the visor off the brackets when doing this so much easier when your not in the car and no "burned out husk issues will arise this way."

You may repeat steps 1-4 as many times as necessary, results may vary.

For the purpose of removing sticker from any smooth surface you may use petrol, kerosene oil, These liquid material will prove well to remove stickers.
