a little heads up on your website would give your customers an opportunity to gather one up while waiting on shipping and paint AND prior to the time of install, realizing that they need a very expensive and or hard to get tool, thus delaying an eagerly awaited and very anticipated install.

just sayin

Thank you for the suggestion, that is a great idea, I will find out the name of model of the gun. I'll get it added to the product description.

Here is a pic of my gun, it is a mix-pack. When I get back at work i'll check the various guns that can be used.... this one is an overkill as it accept 200 and 400 ml cartridges.

hello, thanks for the info, from a do-it-yourselfer and full time mechanic of 25 years, this is not something i would normally have, i do have regular caulking guns. Maybe an adhesive that can be mixed in 1 tube (2 seperate parts). we use a product called pro-seal on aircraft. its sold in 1 tube, you push on one end and it send 1 part into the other, than you twist it to mix. then load into a caulking gun. just a suggestion.

Lupe,

I cut the holes last night and plan on "glueing" the ports in tonite and have a 'nother question for you.....

the 2 part adhesive....did you have any ooze out on the exterior side and if so....can it be cleaned off before it sets?

I am considering taping off the exterior side before setting the ports into the holes.......

your input would be appreciated!

hello, i had some denatured alcohol solvent, wipe off any that squeezed out. if you wipe when you see it, it shouldn't be a problem, i did not have a problem. before you put the sealant, practice as though the sealant was there and figure out how you gonna keep pressure on the inner piece and the port itself. that will help a lot.

i agree, not as install friendly as they could be. maybe they should add a couple of plastic pieces that would work easily with vise grips or something. but once there done your gonna love them, post us some pics as you go along and i will update the 1st post with your ideas.
