Z colours - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Please tell me that if/when the Z breaks cover,it will come in the colours of the existing 2010 range,or does the Z model only likely come in designated 'Hot' colours.If i cant get one in IMO or whatever Orange they create i'm out.

Nothing is known for sure... Heck we dont even know for sure the Z/28 is coming back! Stick around and Im sure Camaro5 will be one of the first groups to have any new info.

I don't see any reason why they wouldn't offer it in the full range of Camaro colours. Then again ... at first you couldn't get an SS in blue so who knows what their plans are.

It's kinda strange that they'd be testing a Z in aqua blue.
I would think that whatever colors are available when the Z goes into production would be fair game.

that was probably an older Z28 prototype
As for colours, i hope they bring a Z specific colour but also offer all available colours. But you never know with GM and their colour choices/restrictions

I wouldn't read anything into that. They almost certainly took an old car and transformed it into a Z28. Prototypes are all about functionality. In terms of function, paint really only serves to prevent the steel from rusting. I mean, the colour of paint has no bearing on how well the suspension reacts to a mid-corner bump.

Yeah, good point. Just seemed funny that they'd do that since people became such big fans of the color after it was nixed. Then to flaunt it out there as a test mule, its like a slap in the face.

Some one could walk in and see a truck with a neat color on it and say. Put that on a Z/28. And it will be done.

I have a connection from the OEM paint supplier and he informs as of today, GM has not finalized the Z28 colors. He assures me as soon as the paint orders are confirmed and the info. is not confidential, he will advise me and I'll post the details. Man a synergy green Z28 is growing on me and I don't know why......
