Darwin at his best. I'm quite sure that was a customer car. A mechanic in a shop filled with idiots like that and a management that would let them get away with it probably can't afford anything nicer than a beat up ragged out CRX. God how I would like to find those people and beat some sense into them! The fact that they have worked on vehicles and drive vehicles on possably the same roads as my family and I scares the s%@# out of me!

Look closely at the video. The size of the space, what looks like an inground lift, the number of voices you hear all indicate a shop to me. Granted, this is all opinion, but if it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck and acts like a duck.....

Obviously you haven't been in a shop after hours. All kinds of antics go on and they do stupid shit. Considering that many performance shops have a bunch of 20-30yr old guys working in them leads to weird shit. NOTHING in that video screams unknowing customer car. Just a bunch of unfounded assumptions by anyone saying otherwise.

Actually a lift does NOT mean it's a shop. I know plenty of friends that have car lifts in their garages at home.

I also know of quite a few shops that don't have lifts.

I'd bet money that it's a couple of young kids messing around in daddy's garage. They picked up a beater and are doing stupid things with it. Every gearhead has done that, growing up. I know when I was younger I did some stupid stuff on cars.

Yeah I would kinda have to agree with that, I would sooner assume that this was an employee's beater/daily driver that they don't care about, that had a seized piston on their caliper, and decided to have some fun with it.

Can't condone it, sure seems pretty sketchy. I would leave the brake DFMA testing to a slightly more "controlled" environment, say at a Bosh facility...ha.

"Don't worry about it -- it's all under warranty. We'll just send it all back and say grandma was driving home after bingo when just exploded without warning. Nearly killed her! Maybe we'll ask for towing and rental reimbursement, too. Hey, we each have over 5000 posts on 80sFWDfanatics.com, so we'll threaten to BURY them if they refuse our claim. What could go wrong?"

If damn near any of US were there, not our car, and at a safe distance, it would be funny as shit. Had a guy at a buddies shop lean out his SC'd GP, on purpose, till it blew on the dyno. Hooked a T72 (I think) to a flowbench to see how much air it would move. Jet engine at it's finest till a guy stuck his hand up there to feel the air pressure into the cold side. sucked his hand in and ate part of his finger. Spray carb fluid under the bathroom door the light it. It could go on and on. Not the smartest things but funny at the time, . I'd bet we could fill up 100+ pages of stupid/cool shit done in their garages, by the vendors here.

Where does anyone think the "DO NOT xxxx" stuff in the installation instructions comes from anyway? We always read those instructions, right???
