Here's what the V6 car sounded like when we drove the pre-production and IVER cars in May. The engineers had not "fine-tuned" the exhaust and I think it sounds even a bit better now in its final form! Deeper and throatier to me.

Best regardSS,

Elie

That is awesome Elie! I remember when you got back from that trip how glowing you were even in words. Very cool that you can share that now!

Yes, this car has the connectivity packagage (SRJ) which includes the leather wheel and shifter. Nice addition to a 1LT.

Chevy Jim. At launch, GM employees are assigned through our Product Evaluation Program (PEP) early production units which we usually call Captured Test Fleet (CTF). If you refer to some of the photos in the St. Lous post, you can see the special sticker that denotes the car as a CTF. We then evaluate the vehicle and submit any concerns to be addressed prior to the cars going to the customer. It is essentially an early look at the first production cars before they can be shipped to dealers. But CTF is only GM employees from engineering, marketing, quality, manufacturing, etc. Not dealers.

I am in love with the new Camaro as much as the rest of you but come on, guys.

That's not a great sounding exhaust. Not by a long shot.

Apparently none of you have heard a narrow angle VW VR6 or an Audi S4.

I'd be happy to post a vid of my old GTI.

I'm proud to say, that next month our vehicles go into production!!! Ahhh that feels good to say, even though it'll probably be sometime in April before i get it. lol As long as i know there's a good chance i could see a production model at the next car show that will hold me over. Dang on it that car sounds good.

I don't think most people are comparing it to Euro tuner cars, I think we are mostly comparing it to how MOST American V6 cars sound. And compared to just about any V6 to ever come from the Big-3, the DI sound like sweet music. The fun part is that there is even conversation to compare it to the refined exhaust notes of Euro cars.

Just my take on the whole thing.
