Unhappy My Clutch is Toast

After 45,000 miles of Daily Driving, Autocrossing, Road Course Hot Laps and Drag Strip runs, my stock clutch finally gave up.. On Monday after MTI Funfest II in Alabama, I pulled up to a gas station to top off before gettiing back on the road, I heard the throwout bearing making noise. The more I drove it, the worst it got..

Hopefully I will have my replacement clutch by this weekend or early next week.. I will be going with the Lingenfelter ZR-1 clutch as recommended (and will be installed by) Andy and Pat at ADM Performance !!

I will try to take some pics of the parts and post up when they are removed..

...maybe if you got rid of that supercharger, that clutch would've lasted longer

Btw, I got my new clutch installed the day after Funfest.

Dude . . . how did you not have clutch issues that everyone else is having? If you drove it hard for 45k miles, and there are others whose stock clutches give up at 10k . . . . what is the explanation for this?

I wish I could tell ya.. Just lucky I guess... From the way it sounds, I think it is just the throwout bearing.. Clutch still pulls fine..

So did you just replace the t/o bearing/slave cylinder assembly or did you also put in a new clutch?

I replaced the Clutch disc, pressure plate, throughout bearing/slave cylinder and the flywheel with stock takeoff (about 50 miles on it) and waiting for the ZR-1 Kit to come in..
