When did you order and when do you expect delivery?

I ordered day 1, October 13th at a dealer with an allocation of 63. I fully expect my Camaro to be in my hot little hands by March 31st at the latest.

I think it'll be interesting to see when people ordered, how many their dealer's allocation was, and when they expect to take delivery vs when it actually happens. What say you?

Ordered 11/18, Dealer has allocation of 8, I was number 7. Unlike TRM0002 I have no expectation of when my Camaro will be delivered, due to ABL bugs, supplier lawsuits, production delays, not knowing which models will be produced first (SS, LT, etc.) I will just be happy when the dealer calls me and says "come in and get your car."

I would like to see my Camaro delivered mid May, but if it's sooner, thats ok, if it's later, that's just fine too. My down payment gets greater each month...

I ordered it on 10/13, but I don't think that the dealership put it into the system until the 16th. I am really not getting any expectations for delivery in my mind at this point. Not so much because of ABL, etc, because I really think those things will be worked out in time to not impact the 2/16 start date. There are just too many unknowns at this point regarding how they will pull orders, what they will produce in what order, how many cars they will start out producing, how long it will take to ramp production, etc, etc, etc. Plus, I need to get rid of one car so I don't have to park the Camaro outside. I will certainly take it whenever they are ready to give it to me though.

ordered 11-14, hoping for delivery by the end of april but wouldn't be surprised if it took into may. Any later and I'll start getting annoyed.

edit after IDL... looking more like June-July time frame.

I ordered like Nov 20 somethingth. I am #1 out of 7 and don't really know when to expect mine. If it comes early though, it will be sitting in the showroom until the snow melts anyways (Damn Canadian winters)

My order was placed on on October 15th, as priority 1, and the dealership I ordered at only had an allocation of 4.

Sometime in March is when I'd like to take delivery, but I'm expecting it to be closer to mid April..

I am just curious how you ordered on 11/20 (5 weeks after ordering opened) and you are #1. Most #1 folks ordered within the first week. Just curious.

And to anyone that says they will get annoyed if they don't get their car by April, I would lighten up your expectations. Those original allocations were through 3Q. Not everyone can get their car in the first month or two. Just hate to see people set unreasonable expectations and then get all fired up at GM later.

With the current circumstances surrounding Cadence Innovation, I think it makes no sense to speculate about delivery date. I'll take mine whenever it arrives, and even be glad for the extra time to anxiously anticipate it and save additional down payment dollars.

I went in the first day but they didn't get my order into workbench until 10/21. There are WAY too many factors I don't know about to even bother guessing. The main one being that we don't know for sure when orders will start getting pulled or how Chevy will determine which dealers they will get pulled from first. Also once it's in line for production we don't know what model/trim will be getting made first. Heck, it could take months before they even pull the order from my dealer for all I know since they were only allocated 1. They will probably get all the larger volume dealers their cars first.

I'll be happy to have mine anytime before the end of summer.

My order was not put in until 11/5, but I'm #1 of 1. So I hope to see my new car in mid/late April. It's a small dealership, so probably wont get filled with all the other number #1's. BUT ya never know?

Hey Camaropete,

Wasn't on for awhile, so to answer your question of why I could be first in line when i ordered in November is because my Dealership wasn`t taking pre-orders until Canadian pricing came out. They didnt want to fill their orders out before the price, turn away 50 guys and then have everyone bail when the pricing got released. And also the guy that was first originally bailed to go buy a new mustang GT.

Idiot

EDIT: Camaro pete isn`t the idiot. The guy that cancelled his order is, just to clarify

Ok. So I have some extra brain power today and time on my hands so I decided to start doing some back of the envelope calculations based on this poll, plus other information that has popped up on this site. Since only 65 people or so have responded, I certainly wouldn't take this as gospel, but it's just a thought.

Assuming that production ramps like this (again, not consider any delays or parts issues, etc):
per day per month
Feb avg production 50 500
March avg production 75 1500
April avg production 100 2000
May avg production 125 2500
June avg production 150 3000
July avg production 175 3500
Aug avg production 200 4000
Sept avg production 225 4500
Total 21500

And assuming that people get their cars in the order in which they were ordered (and with no consideration for model type, etc), here is when people will get there cars:

Feb March April May June July Total
500 1346 X X X X 1846
X 154 2000 615 X X 2769
X X X 1692 X X 1692
X X X 193 1192 X 1385
X X X X 1231 X 1231
X X X X 154 X 154
X X X X 423 39 462
462 462
Total 500 1500 2000 2500 3000 501 10001

EDIT: UGH! The spacing is all f-ed up so this doesn't look right. I just tried to fix it a bit.
