Another Pfadt Lowering
First off, many thanks to Chase at Apex! I ordered a set of the Pfadt springs from Apex and they were out for delivery that same day! They came in yesterday evening. The install was not difficult, the 2 most time consuming events of the install was getting the car off the ground and removing the sway bar end links. Goofing around (taking my time) I had the entire job done including cleanup in about 3.5 hours... Took the car in this morning for an alignment and just got back from the test drive...
I cannot say enough good things about the way the car handles now!! I wish I would have done this months ago! The ride is not quite as compliant as prior, but it is not rough by any means. Just a bit firmer... The car does not feel quite as heavy as it did with the stock springs. Cornering is nice and flat. I cannot say enough good stuff about the engineering that Pfadt has put into these springs! The drop height and ride is perfect. Many thanks again to Chase and Victoria at Apex! Pfadt, you have a great product! Now for the important part... Pics!!! ![]() ![]() John |

Looks great!
What did you install? Springs or Coilover? Any other items?

I plan on doing the same thing with car. My only concern is will the tires rub inside the fender wells. These tires aren't cheap.

If you're running stock size tires, you won't rub. I've been riding the Pfadts for a few months now and have never rubbed, even over speed bumps.

We have plenty of customers rocking Pfadt lowering springs and aftermarket wheels with no issues.

Springs made a BIG difference huh?
How hard are they to swap out?

As long as you don't go with too wide a wheel, you shouldn't have a problem. You'd be hard pressed to rub on the fender lining, but if you're running a wide wheel, you could rub on the lip.
Springs aren't hard to swap out, just time consuming. If you've never done them before, it will take you a couple hours. You can do them in your driveway with a decent socket set, jack, and spring compressor. You can rent a spring compressor from your local autozone type store for not much $$. Pfadt has a nice set of instructions, online, with lots of pics.

Chase, just an fyi, i did have issues with my 22"s rubbing, but it was the wheels offset, not the springs themselves. These springs are great, and chase is great to deal with. A+
