For those that ordered Silver Ice Metallic...

I know you've probably answered this question several times already, but...

Did you order with stripes or without?

If you ordered with stripes, what color did you choose?

I ordered SIM with black rally stripes, but I've seen other (photoshop) combinations that look good, too.

Thanks!

No stripes for my SIM. Call me conservative. I want the muscle but I also want the natural lines of the car to be up-front. I guess if I could afford 2 of them I'd get one with stripes. Probably CGM.

I ordered a 1SS in SIM, with polished 20-inch wheels, black rally stripes and blade rear spoiler.

Still on the fence about the optional grille, but it will also have the Hurst short-throw shifter, catback exhaust, shorty headers and airbox.

When I finally decided on Silver Ice Metallic (other choices were Black and CGM), the black rally stripes instantly came to mind.

Then my wife put doubts in my head, saying that she thought they would stand out too much, and the silver would look nice with NO stripes, etc (which it does!).

So I started thinking about Black with CGM stripes, or Silver with CGM stripes, etc (which, by the way, would look really beautiful, too). But I keep coming back to Silver with black stripes

I guess I can't go wrong with Silver and Black stripes

Ordered without stripes. I'm not digging that the factory stripes stop at the hood..... I'll wait to see what the aftermarket has to offer, or I'll get them painted the way I want.

I just ordered plain SIM, I prefer the more conservative look and figure the metallic flakes coupled with the body lines will be sure to not make this car just another silver car.

I ordered my SIM without stripes. I originally had CGM stripes, but opted out because I think the car looks fantastic without it. And if I really wanted stripes- It seems as though I could just add them at a later time. As opposed to the opposite, if I ordered the vehicle with the stripes and didn't like them, I'm sort of stuck with them.

Silver Ice, no stripes. Stripes are too busy. The car looks fantastic, I don't want stripes cluttering up the cars sexy lines... I like my cars clean and uncluttered.

CGM stripes, I thought that black would stand out to much. and the biggest factor is the FACTORY does the CGM stripes... Dealer does the black.

SIM with CG stripes. A sweet look. Not too much contrast but just a little.

I felt the same way. Once I heard they stopped at the hood and didn't extend down I was turned off and decided to go w/o.

A vote for understatement. No stripes, spoilers, wings, or fancy wheels needed...OK I did break down for a Hurst shifter and a spare tire. Save your $ for a CAI.

Why didn't I think of that! Since the dealer would be putting on the black stripes anyway, they could probably do it at any time. Then I'd be able to get a look at some "live" cars to see if I really like it or not.

Hmmmm - I think I am going to cancel the Rally stripe package from my order... (Besides, the car looks incredible without the stripes, too)

Yes, the LPO orange stripe package (VYO) is available with the SIM body color. And the interior Inferno Orange Trim Package (W1H) is also available with exterior color SIM, but only on the 2LT and 2SS trim lines.

I got the cyber gray stripes on black so they wouldn't jump out at you too much, like getting them on the SIM instead of the higher contrasting black stripes. And the fact that they're factory installed didn't hurt either.

Finally, thank you. I was under the impression that the factory was only installing cyber gray and white stripes at the factory. All other colors at dealer.

Ordered SIM, RS/2SS with black leather interior and cyber gray stripes. I originally ordered without stripes, but after comparing with and without (pics), I decided that I liked it a bit more with the stripes. Where I ordered mine, they dont do dealer striping, so had to have it done at the factory. I thought that the cyber gray stripping looked good with SIM.
