I'm really liking your build. There's gonna be a whole lot of people duplicating your idea for removing their bushings. It looks like the easiest way to get them out that I've seen so far.

You could patent that as the "Binford 2170"...

Thanks Bud. I see the posibility of a BRT-002 and 003 which would be larger to facilitate drilling out the rear craddle bushings. Heliwrench is going to be installing whole bushings rather then just inserts that our in Pumpkin. After our experiences with bushings, it's the only way to go.

No problem will get it done when the time comes. Might be helpfull to find out what size hole saws we need to do the job. Since I only went with inserts I didn't have the pleasure of removing those bushings.

Well that's it for getting Pumpkin to the alignment rack on days off. Woke up to 8"s of snow in the Great White North.

I woke up at 6AM to first dig the wife's Equinox out of the snow. Then shovel the driveway. Then dig my mom's car out so my brother and I could get to the Skytrain! Barely made it there and ended up being 15 minutes late thanks to Skytrain delays.

Cool stuff. So now you will only twist apart one driveshaft, not two...

Just one less weak link. Seem like really good Guy's to deal with, spoke with both Frank and Leo. I do have abit of a shopping list and the Driveshaft Shop can certianly fill it. Can we say axels and tranny mainshaft with the extra bearing.

Ken from Stradle Craft comes through again with some more quality paint work for Pumpkin. Looks like even Guiness the cat approves. Installation coming soon. Stay tuned.

Were you able to getPumpkin to the alignment rack yet?We ended up with another foot of snow over the weekend. Close to 2and a half feet on the flat and the snow bank along the drive way are at least 4 feet high. Could be hard getting Skitzo out of the garage to get to Phoenix in the spring.

Not yet. Going to work on Pumpkin this weekend. Might have to break down and drive in the rain to alignment rack. Ordering Super Blue brake fluid, want some? Better start digging now.

Like the double hole saw idea. this convinced me to bust out my welder and try to make one as well. My welding skills pale in comparison to yours though. I dont have a nice band saw to make that cut though :(.

Is that to separate the two? ...to prevent the clutch hitting the floor issue on fast take offs?

Less with the floor issues and more with just keeping clutch dust out of the braking hydraulics... Merc has my reservoir too, my clutch did stick once last year and toasted it pretty good... we'll see if it happens again with the new reservoir.

Hope the dual disc Stillen/ ACT clutch will solve that problem. That being said will all the passes on Pumpkin I have yet to have that problem.

Do they want/need another test subject... I just took delivery, well my builder did, of their level 5 axles for my car...... I would certainly be willing to test one for them. I'll have all the suspension components to support the rear end, adjustable trailing arms, adjustable toe rods, and delrin diff bushings...

I'm pretty sure Frank is the guy I ordered my axles from... He was awesome to deal with...
