Custom V6 headrest embroidery idea.

So, I plan on embroidering my own headrests with this C logo.

I practiced by putting it on a very tightly wrapped pillow form, to simulate the headrest (because I won't be able to take the cloth off it). It came out like this.

What do you all think of it?

Its a Heavy Chain Stitch. Looks much better in person, than taken with my cell phone camera. You cant see the stitching on this low res - it just looks blurry. I'll take a better picture when I can.

Looks pretty good. I would suggest making the top loop skinnier ) so it extends to the middle of the lower curl and you'll have it. Pretty nifty!

I thought the same thing. I'll spend more time matching the emblem to the headrest - on this one I was more practicing the stitch and the curves, and figuring out a good way to anchor the threads when I stopped and started a new thread (had to start like 8 threads for that piece... what a PITA) without being able to access the back of the piece. A lot of the lumps in the line come from where it unraveled and I just salvaged what I could.

But for 15 bucks for all the materials, I don't think it'll be a bad investment. Unless I jack up a headrest.

XanthosV6, Honestly, I didn't like your chances, but that wasn't bad for a first attempt. Keep practicing because the last thing you want to do is screw up your brand new car's headrest, or do it cockeyed. Also, since you're not ready to pull the trigger on a 2010 just yet, think about whether there might be something else you'd want to put on there other than a "C". Good luck...!

I actually really like the C - although I have been debating that topic in the back of my mind. If I see something I like better, I'll go with that.

P.S. - One of the things I've been toying with is some sort of V6 logo. I expect my V6 will be as fast as any stock V8 pony car when I'm done with it (other than the camaro itself - though thats my target) and I'm quite proud of being able to do that with a V6. I was thinking something like the old Z/28 badge, except V6...
