Arrow Converting the Black Brembo's to Red

After reading quite a bit, I thought it was a shame when I found out the Brembos on the new SS were not red, but Black??

......What options does one have to convert from Black to Red? Paint seems obvious, but is there any official Caliper color swapping process? If not and I must paint, what is the best process for getting that lovely glossy red Brembo I've come to know and love?

they make high temp caliper paint. with enough patience and tape you really don't even have to remove the calipers

Don't sweat it. Painting them red will be quite easy.

Yup, but finding the brembo and Camaro sticker for the face of caliper might be harder because you will have to remove/paint over the existing ones.

Actually I have been thinking about that and what I am going to do is mask the Camaro sticker (I think its says Chevrolet) in a bowtie before painting and the Brembo in a semi cirle (Brembos trademark) before painting.

After you remove the tape, "Chevrolet" will appear with a silver background in the bowtie pattern and "Brembo" will look like its company logo.

I thought you guys would like a pic for reference! Painting the calipers red should be pretty easy.

After looking at the pics, I think I'll just get TXTurbo to make me some new decals to put back on after I paint them red.

Having Silver Brembos is like having a Brown Lambo. Brembo's are Red, Lambo's are Skittles colors. You just don't mess with that.

......Anyway, so I guess my question is what options does one have to convert from Silver to Red? Paint seems obvious, but is there any official Caliper color swapping process? If not and I must paint, what is the best process for getting that lovely glossy red?

A. Not all Brembos are red.

B. The stock Brembos are going to be black, not silver. Silver would be nicer.

The fact that Mitsubishi and Dodge choose red as the color for their factory equipped Brembos means nothing. There's a reason for the following.

Nice. Anyone want to take a stab at photoshopping that Red, while keeping the "Chevrolet" text black and making the "Brembo" text white?

lol, I know they aren't all Red. Just coming from a few Mitsubishi's, I guess I got used to it. I'm just trying to get the look I've become accustomed to.

Could you paint them red and have Brembo send you new stickers?

Is it a decal or is the logo silk-screened? i'm not so sure that a decal would hold-up to the heat.

Big fan of the red myself. Now...if they offered them in blue.

I was considering painting the calipers on my V6 red, but it almost seems like too much effort and honestly it would just draw attention away from the wheels I put on it, which I want to be the real eye-grabber.

In a somewhat related question - how hard is it to do a brake line swap? I've never had to do any brake work before (I know! Crazy, right?) but I've heard changing from rubber lines to braided steel significantly improves braking performance.
