trading in Camaro for another color?

I have been toying with the thought of trading in my Camaro to get another color. I have a black one, however, I just moved to a place on a gravel road. It sucks so bad driving that thing dirty all the time. I was thinking about going white.

So my question is, is it possible to trade straight up for another Camaro same year, (if I find one) roughly same amount of miles? I'm not sure how it would work at a dealership. Heck I would even trade someone else straight up if that is possible.

I wish you the best but I don't think it will work out that easily for multiple reasons. I assume you have owned this since new and financed. One, the rates are better for new cars than used cars so the new loan would be higher. If you owe less on your current car than the one you find you could probably get the payments the same as your current. Just a few thoughts

A dealer is not going to swap straight up car for car. They exist to make a profit to pay overhead, and employees. They are going to offer you "trade in" value for your car (which is probably thousands less then you paid), and try to sell you their car at dealer retail. I would guess you're going to lose at least $3k-$5k with a dealer in your scenerio.

Trade someone privately car for car? Very doubtful that would happen. I know I wouldn't.

With a local dealer, someone traded in a 1ss with 200 miles on it and the dealer have to turn around selling it as used about $5K+ below MSRP. There is no way the dealer is going to do it for another Camaro. If you are trading up for a ZR1, or even a Z06, they might make it happens....Good luck buddy..

Wait, you don't want it to show dirty so you're going white? I don't get it. But if you have to do it, you'll save much more $$$ just getting it repainted.

hate to disappoint, but what you propose is extremely unlikely,un less it is done in a "private" sale agreed to by both parties!..a "dealer is going to "f**k you you can believe that,if ya don't believe nothin' else!"....just sayin!"

why not paint it the color you want? if you are willing to go and take a new loan out, just get a credit card and pay the monthly payment on the paint job if you don't have the cash to do so....just a thought.

you would be better off painting your car a different color..... I would imagine if it were to get keyed good enough you could get the bodyshop to accidentally repaint it white..... jk

Yes, white would show much less than Black. Black is the worst color for showing imperfections but looks the best when detailed IMO.
