Ok now I have a really interesting question for you dyno guru's!! I had my car dynoed before the cam, just PaceSetter 1 3/4 headers, Airaid CAI, MBRP exhaust no cats and a tune to turn off the CEL not a dyno tune it made 401/393 SAE at Shop X!! Went to Shop Z and had a TSP 231/236 cam, TSP UD Pulley, Fast 102 Intake, and a custom dyno tune saw the video and I am very good friends with the Owner and had one of my oldest friends there when it was dynoed!! It made 481/453 to the tires, now this was STD numbers but if you multiply that by .974 it equals to 467 SAE numbers, still pretty good numbers! My neighber did the same thing went to Shop X, had the Full exhaust TSP 1 7/8 headers, a G5 CAI, and the same exact tune as me done by the same place on the same day Shop X and his car made 393/383!! My neighbor then took his car to shop Y and had their custom cam, UD Pulley and had them custom dyno tuned as well, he also has video where it made 477/434 SAE on their dyno!! So we both went back and had the cars re dynoed at Shop X to see what our gains were and I saw 448/425 and my neighbor saw 439/405?? Humidty, smoothing, and temp were pretty close so I don't think that was the problem, anyone have any words of wisdom or know something I don't about dynos? How ofter do they need to be recaliberated? BTW my car has run 11.94@121 and my neighbors car on the street is just as fast as mine is, the winner is the one who jumps first!! just saying, shit is not matching up?!

awesome numbers. really it sounds like just the CAI did that since they say the cat back doesn't really add HP.

i have no idea why i did this...i do not plan on keeping up with this so if you would like to do so feel free to pm me and i'll send you my microsoft excel file i did this in (couldn't upload it).

i did not add lingenfelter and stroker engines as i didn't feel like they were really the ls3 and therefore didn't belong on the list. i also did not include mustang dyno numbers. and lastly, if you didn't list your mods or i didn't understand what they were, you may have misinformation on the mod checklist or may not be listed at all. some of your graphs were too small also, so i skipped you as well. if you disagree with anything i have said you can fix the list yourself if you want pm me and take charge of said list.

lastly i will just add some of you make a big sacrifice to give up the warranty for <50hp over stock...just an observation from going through all of the numbers...

Thanks, I was surprised to see 400. I was guessing 385. I would have to say a lot of it just the way the car has been broken in. The CAI and exhaust were installed right off, so the computer has had 12,000 miles to "learn". Plus, I drive it like a sports car, it gets pounded pretty often, since day one. She had to "learn" my foot to the floor too

shorties make power!!!!

After a concern for the idle, I took my car in for a dyno run with the mods BEFORE tune, we pulled 394 and had MAJOR knock retard adjustment by the computer. After fixing that we pulled a max of 398 but still had some retard so we adjusted again to make the car a great everyday driver, but with amazing pull for track days, and ended with 396rwhp and 402 ft lbs tq. This is with CAI, ported TB, JBA shorties, and sw retro cat-back. Don't tell me that the CAI is the major contributor and added 30hp... BS! It was a combination of good airflow in with good airflow out. This is also without a huge fan blowing into the engine bay. If I can get a thermostat that isn't 160 but 180, and add 93 octane (stupid ca rules) we should be able to push 425 to the wheels. I got the whole dyno coming to me through email, so if anyone wants to see it, or see what changes we made, PM me and Ill send it as soon as I get it.
