Real cool Ed! Thanks for working so hard on this project. Looks like it will do the trick. Can you remove the material, then detail the car and then reapply the original pieces?

Thank you! Yea I put some time into it. I think it paid off. Easy to apply. The pieces practically disappear once applied. Covers some real vulnerable areas.
This is the Cleartastic PLUS film. The plus film can be removed but can not by reapplied (not the static cling film). Its more of a "set it and forget it" film.
The same film we use for the Corvette Z06, Grandsport and the ZR1 kits. wash and wax right over it. We went with this film for a few reasons for the maro.
I think those interested will like it too.

Thanks again
Ed

that stuff sound great. but only flaw depending on your car is it will show a black line around the clear when dirty.

but then again its cheaper then having rock chips. actually i wonder if they pre cuts will work on the body kit i have. have to look at it next to a stock maro.

Sorry my friend, Not at this time. The kits are cut and packaged together.
I will look into it if its something people want. However the "behnd the front wheel" pieces extend and helps protect more then the small slice of protection film applied from the factory. Not a bad thing to consider.

Dang. Sorry to hear that. To design & get these right it took longer then I wanted. As I mentioned it paid off. We are real pleased with the kits.. Wish we could have caught you in time.

Ed
the reason I was inquiring was that I am looking to replace my side skirts with some custom ones and they would not work with the new shape/form of the new side skirts/rockers.

mucho better & cheaper then getting chips BUT there is a solution to the "line" just take a "Q" tip with isopropyl alcohol, it will clean the dirt out of the edges!

how come, on the website, if you put 101 & 102 in your cart separately, it is less than putting the combo kit in your cart? Separately = $125.90, combo = 135.99

If you check the website, you could see that normally, kits 101 & 102 are more expensive. You would save money if you by both kits(103)
However, I dropped the prices for each individual kit (101 & 102) as a bit of a intro special for the members here. So its cheaper if you pick just one kit or by both.

Thanks
Ed

It does come with "easy read" instructions (pictures).
Video is a nice idea. We did it eons ago for the regular cleartastic.
I'll see about that for the future.

BTW Smeone called and asked about thickness....can't believe I forgot to post that..Its 8mil.

Thanks

Yea this film takes a nice hit. We have been using it for the Corvette Z06's, for years and now the Grandsports and the ZR1's.
Even the Original Cleartastic from 12 years ago was always a true 8mil.
But wow 1.7......thats like saran wrap or somthing.

Thanks

Not %100 sure of the question but , It is designed so you can easily install it.
However the film provides outstanding invisible paint protection. Its extremely durable. We feel it takes a better hit them most.
Hope that helps.

We have been shipping these out. Some of the customers I believe are from this forum. Hopefully they will post some results soon.

Thanks

Sorry that was confusing. Will this hold up to washes and time and stay applied to the car like a clear bra by 3M? Will it lose its hold along the edges? How is removal when needed?

Anyone installed this yet? My concern is trying to install it myself and screwing it up.

No problem my friend...
Yes it will hold up to washing and no problems with edges. Wax over it like it was your paint. It will provide years & years of invisible paint protection!
As far as crewing up, its super easy and you won't. We have sold hundreds of kits for the Corvette. Most never have done anything close to this and installed it quick, easy and love the results.
Don't stress it. However I notice there are a few from this forum that just received their kits. Hopefully they might post soon..

Thanks
