Removing radiatot

Im half way into my cam swap. Cant figure out how to get the two lines at the bottom of the radiator off. I tried my fuel line tools but it doesnt slide in there. What is the trick?

I also see its going to be a pita to linr my crank pulley up since i gave it pinned for the SC.

just slide the black plastic shield back and remove the clip with a small pick if you dont have the correct tool to release these clips

Lock, you might want to hit up StikSS. He just did a cam swap on his LS3 this weekend and he may be able to help out when it comes to some recommendations if you need any.

Hope it goes well for you. I'm getting close on my swap. Springs and reassembly and I'll be done. Managed to send a valve lock flying into oblivion so I'm at a standstill til I order some. If I finish before you I'll mail you some spares. Apparently you don't have to cut the ac belt. Wish I hadn't followed the manual on that one. If you change out your timing chain and or oil pump, STUFF RAGS IN THE OIL PAN TO STOP A DROPPED PICKUP TUBE BOLT.

There's a special tool for it that comes in the GM belt kit. If you were local, I'd let you borrow mine.

Just have one guy pulling off while the other turns the motor over with a ratchet.

a/c belt goes on and off easily if you put a ratchet on the crank bolt and just use a long screwdriver or prybar, pry it to the side while turning the ratchet to get it off ,, to get it on just get it started as far as you can then hold it while turing the engine with the ratchet again and it will go right on

this works easiest with the spark plugs removed

you will probly end up re-drilling your crank for the pin,, or have the crank pulley machined/drilled all the way through(like a keyed pulley) then you can start it in the correct location and pull it right on with your install tool

That AC belt just sucks.... no other way to put it!! Be careful with those powersteering hose clips. if you loose em, you have to buy the whole kit, not just the clips.

Getting the ac belt back on was pretty easy as you described. Wrappwd up my install and fired it up. Got out for a leak check and holy cow my car was pissing gas. Knocked my fuel line loose. I have the JRE line kit for the eforce. Pretty scary. No more action till this is all cleaned up.
